I swore I was just going to read the third one and not the first two, but I lied. When I finished The Indigo King, I decided to start rereading Here, There Be Dragons. In the Morgaine prophecy, when they say "Mapmaker's heir", everyone thinks it's John, who's the next Caretaker. But really it's Bug, who's Arthur's descendent, and Arthur, according to the third book, is the son of Merlin, who is the Cartographer (THE Mapmaker).
It's little things like that that make it worth rereading books.
