Today we had a free-write poetry assignment.

My feelings
Right now
So very interesting
They seem to me
To be streaming from the mouth
Of a waterfall flowing from my brain.
I cannot easily describe
I have kept them for so long;
dancing about.
My thoughts...
Now running from place to place
There is no origin.
I dream the day away
Laying on a cloud of tangerine smiles
They do as they please
Prancing about my translucent pillow
on a rampant voyage.
Some get trapped
Feel so alone alone alone in the cold
No one to hear their brilliant song.
Successful are some
They make the break from the unknown origin
and travel down the path of my arms
Into the working eyes and hands
of their loving creator.
I see a different scene before me.
Liquid memories mixed with deep emotions
Galvanize the paper
Drawers full of elusive stars
They twinkle and shine
brightly brightly brightly
Will they ever see the sun?
