Biography: When Adrienne was five years old, the witch hunt begun in Norway. The girl grew up with the constant fear of being accused for being a witch. Herself she never believed in it, and every time she heard a womans scream from the fire, she cursed herself for her cowardness that prevented her from defending the women around her. As the years went on Adrienne grew up to be a beautifull woman, turning heads whenever she walked down the street of the city, and at the age of sixteen, the first of many men came knocking on her door, asking her father for her hand in marriage. Luckilly for Adrienne, her father saw her as more than most men saw a woman at that time; as an equal, and never personally accepted any of them, he always looked for her own approval.
Unfortunately, being young, smart and beautifull did not always lead to a good end, and after having been rejected from both her father and Adrienne herself several times, the major's young son decided that if he couldn't have her, no one should, and that she would regret having made a fool of him in public ( she had turned him down in the middle of the town square ). Soon the girl found herself in a nightmare. Like so many women before her, she gave up before the judge, and stopped defending herself from the false accusations regarding witchcraft. At the age of nineteen she sat in the carriage, praying for God's forgiveness for whatever she had done wrong, and for mercy as she knew she would be facing him in a few hours.
Executions was a big social event at that time, and the entire town had gathered to witness Adrienne's death. The hour-long horse and carriage ride from the church to the execution place lasted forever. Not only because Adrienne treasured each of her last minutes, but because the men she had rejected, who now had condemned her to death loved to prolong her pain and ashame her.
Unfortunately for them, there was someone who had listened while Adrienne had still fought for her innosence, and that man soon revealed himself as the sun went down and the streets were illuminated by lanterns. No one saw it comming and few noticed it before it was over. But swiftly a shadow had sweeped over the carriage and knocked it over. When the confusion cleared Adrienne was gone.
In the forest, a few kilometres away, Adrienne was thrilled and scared to death at the same time. She had been freed of her fate that was burning alive on the stake, but now an angel of death was seemingly standing infront of her. As she calmed down, the man introduced himself as Sebastian, a vampire. Adrienne didn't believe him at first, naturally. But then he brought her home to his familly, a clan of vampires that ruled most of Norway at that time. Without informing her, Sebastian and the council decided to make her one of them, as she certainly could never go back to her old life.
It was Sebastian himself that bit her, neither informing her of the change she was about to undergo, and as soon as she recovered she was furious with him. Not because of the descision, but because she didn't get to know. Adrienne never learnt any of the customs she needed to know about other clans. In fact, she thought they were the only ones. Her world consisted of the mansion and the nearby cities. During the transformation most of her memories from her mortal life vanished, her eyes went from curious blue to bloodred and in her twentysecond year she stopped aging.
Her life was happier than ever, being the youngest in the clan she was treated like everyones little sister. A precious treasure who never needed to know about the evil world she lived in. Unfortunately, it seems the higher powers were personally against her happiness, and after a few centuries a group of vampire hunters and priests found their way to the clan, slaughtering all of them. Adrienne saw with her own eyes her beloved Sebastian being tapped on the balcony and burn to death as the sun rose. They never found her as she hid in the shadows, and once aain alone, she fled to a nearby cave, going deeper than any human would ever dare. There she slept for a few years before she returned to the ruins of her home. Only a few things remained. Carla's bracelet, Joanna's music box and her "Father"'s ring. On the balcony, Sebastians ashes had been washed away by the rain, but in a crack of the stone floor, lied his pendant.
Heartbroken, Adrienne fleed and lived various places the following years, knowing that she had to find a way to go back to life as no matter how much she wished for it, she wouldn't stop living.
Recently she decided to see Berlin before it was blown to bits: a vision she had been told by a gypsy woman before they too had been chased out of the light.
