Gazes
His gaze met hers. Embaressment and confidence in his eyes. He wanted her more than anything... but she was taken.
She had a man, a year or two older. He watched as days passed, and then months, then an entire year had gone. In those months, that year, she had come crying to him about her boyfriend.
He realized that those tears crying over that MAN she supposedly loves were going to stay because she loves him. But no matter what, he would be there for her. That should she can lean on when things get rough.Even when things get rough, he will be there for her.
Soon it would be a year and a half. That day... their anniversary... that man that "loved" her called and said "I've found someone else... I'm sorry" She smiled and replied "I hope you will be happy."
The next day she was unhappy, but another day came along. They were happy. He, her best guy friend, knew even if he was in love with her, she woul never love him back. so he promised himself, to support her.
Then the day came... she was getting married. She was going to marry a guy she had been dating for 5 years. They had been engaged for a year before the wedding. He, her best guy friend, was a groomsman. He walked down the aisle with one of her girl friends.
Finally, it was time. The bride was going to walk down the aisle next. He smiled and watched her walk towards him... and the groom. Her eyes glued to her husband to be.
He could finally get over her and find a new girl to love. but not until the two say...
"I Do."
and he puts her wedding band on her left ring finger. But until then, he would just pretend, just for a second, she was his... just for a few more seconds.
