Hi everyone! I just had surgery 2 days ago. If you're not into gross things don't read anymore.
I was having a 7 and half month period (menstrual), and it was only getting worse. Most people didn't believe me that it was going on for 7 and half months straight. Finally a OB/ GYN came up with a plan. We were supposed to just have an IUD (Mirena) placed, a hysteroscopy, and a biopsy. They went in there and found out my lining was extremely thick from the hysteroscopy. So, they also did a DNC to scoop it all out. I also apparently had an infection up there, so they also gave me antibiotics. According to the surgeon I might have endometrial hyperplasia. Where I have too much estrogen, and the lining grows out of control, it's a blood disorder that can lead to cancer. Well, if the surgery didn't work the only option left is to get a hyeterectomy. It took me all day to recover in the recovery room. The nurses were nice enough to give me a muffin, a bagel with cream cheese and grahm crackers. I still hurt and I almost fainted just a moment ago, but it should get better. smile
