So, I went in yesterday at around 8 AM to have all four of my wisdom teeth surgically removed. The nurses were amazingly sweet, the doctor was a complete perfectionist in everything he did, and I don't even remember falling asleep under the IV. xD My biggest fear, personally, was the IV; the doctor, however, put this cooling cream on my arm that made it so numb with the cold that I barely felt the awkward little p***k. The last thing I remember looking at before falling into blackness was the little juices dripping into my veins.

I woke up halfway through the removal of the last wisdom tooth. I couldn't feel anything at all in my body, and all was dark; I could have sworn I was dreaming, but I heard the dull beeps of the machines next to me and the doctor's voice. I woke up to the sound of him saying, "All went well, Franchesca," and my eyes fluttered open.

I was so relieved that it was over. I was, as all first-time surgery patients sometimes are, a little nervous about what would happen before, during, and after the surgery. I came home with both of my parents and fell asleep immediately. I'm currently on pain medication and another medication that knocks you into sleepiness within minutes. I also have to rinse my mouth semi-daily with this disgusting mouthwash to help kill bacteria and shorten the healing process. As of right now, I'm typing this to let y'all know that everything went perfectly; I'm a little drowsy and a little bit in pain, but my mom's taking me out to eat Vietnamese later today to help me feel better. She made delicious cream of butternut squash, as well as some homemade baked macaroni and cheese to help me feel better. I can't really eat that many solid, warm foods yet; I'm restrained to things like lukewarm soups and cool gelatin/ice-cream. No worries, though! My mother's an excellent cook. ^__^
