Worried eyes stared at empty space;
her love had gone to a distant place
My watchful eyes look over her,
have him stay as I’d prefer.
Upon a steady pace he relents
an argument causing (timely) events.
Perhaps I now regret my lies,
maybe my decision had not been wise.
Such a foolish way for him to go
to her we put on such a show.
The warmness of her heart he shall receive,
and it is now she has chosen to leave.
Leaving to find him in Singapore
I watch as she slides out the door.
My eyes watching her timid moves,
like Leo’s lady in the Louvre.
Her face was dulled by blank emotion
Yet her gaze traveled over ocean,
I watch as she prays for his return
Why she’d do this my concern?
