NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... I... lost... the family bracket contest... damn you, Michigan State's defense!
well, the loss of Louisville effectively knocked out my championship pick and eliminated any hopes I have for reaching the top in family bracket contest. Alas... Oklahoma also lost the game to UNC, killing Samman's bracket once and for all. So... Rick WIN the contest scream
Final Standing as followed:
Rick - 75 - still alive with picks of Conn and UNC in Final Four, but declared as WINNER
Avek - 64 - still alive with only 5 potential points from Villanova, the only remaining team with one more game on my bracket. No way to reach Rick
Tiamat - 63 - still alive with only UNC in Final Four, have chance to defeat me to win our contest
Samman - 63 - his bracket is DEAD
Terry - 57 - her bracket is DEAD
yeah... boo hoo... bye bye my 10 bucks, which will go to Rick's winning pool of 40 bucks. Even though l lost this contest, I could still win the contest between myself and Tiamat. Though UNC's easy victory today assured himself ONE more game between Villanova and UNC, which will decide the contest between us. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until Saturday to see how the game will played out. UNC win, Tiamat wins. Villanova win, I win.
Man, another blowout games today and an early finish in our family bracket contest. Comparing to last year, this one didn't even compare to the excitement and epiciness of both contest and tournament of 2008. While 2009 tournament do have fair shares of fun and excitement, it is nowhere near the level of 2008 or even 2006 tournaments. Alas... Probably because of too many blowout games and too few of Cinderella teams.
We will see how Final Four played out.
Peace and wish you luck, Tiamat! On Saturday...
