I fell to the ground. Dani instantly dropped down to me and put her arms around me. “I’m so sorry, Ichi.” She said softly. Akeru put a hand on my shoulder. Dannen looked at his paws in sadness. I allowed the tears to run down my face.
“I need to find her.” I said shakily. Akeru shook her head.
“Ichi, Dianichi is doing this to hurt you. Don’t bend in to her will.” I gazed at her sadly, dusty gold eyes filled with tears.
“You don’t understand, I was like her parent, she is my child, and I can’t let my Kisa get hurt. Hachi is crying with me.” I sobbed. “I need to be with her.” Dani nodded her head.
“Then go, Ichi, but be careful, don’t step into any of Dianichi’s traps.” Dani slowly recoiled her arms, and I instantly wished that she hadn’t. I knew that I could never love her. I wasn’t allowed to. And Hachi felt the same hurt. How did the Dannens feel about us? I mentally slapped myself. Ichidou, get a hold of yourself! I thought bitterly.
“Okay. I’ll go. Please be safe, all of you.” I told them, and then I ran, soon I would reach my little Hachi.
“Goodbye.” Dani echoed. I knew that Irihi loved Dani, so maybe that could mend their heartbreak. But I would forever be alone. I would only have Hachi, but would that be enough? I left Takitanima in an hour. I looked up at the dark sky. The sun was covered and it would only be a matter of time before it started raining. I folded my fox ears and tail into my body before leaving, nodding a good bye to the mouse on duty. She smiled at me brightly. I jumped down the mountain, clearing it in a few minutes. I walked through the busy streets, nonchalantly. A few schoolgirls giggled as they passed me, and I waved at them, smiling. But it never reached my eyes. A few boys glared at me. The girls must’ve been their girlfriends or something. I sighed, not caring one way or the other, it wasn’t like I’d ever see them again. I wandered into a dark alley that led to a secluded beach. There were some men crowding around each other, a few casting glances at me. One stepped up to me and plucked the cigarette out of his mouth and dropped it onto the ground. Oh good lord, they were bikers who thought that they were ‘bad boys.’ This would be annoying.
“What do you think you’re doing on our street?” he drawled. I rolled my eyes.
“I’m walking, obviously. Now get out of my way, I don’t want to deal with you.” Some of the men snickered. The man who confronted me punched me in the face. I didn’t flinch. “I said to get out of my way.” I said evenly. I didn’t have time for this. “I don’t want to waste my time, and I’m very busy.” The man swore at me. “Listen, I could kill you right now, but that would take up too much time, so get out of my way, before I get angry.” I said icily. Some of the men hooted in their corner. “Since you don’t know who I am, I’ll let you slide.”
“What are you going to do, sue me?” he spat.
“You’ll wish I had if you don’t get out of my way, because I have very powerful family.”
“What, you royalty? Nobody cares ‘bout them.” I smiled.
“Something like that. Actually, I have the power to bring the world down if I wanted to.” I said. Some of the men laughed.
“Yeah, he’s royalty. Nobody else is all talk, except lawyers.” A man in the crowd laughed.
“And my family, but you’ll find out that we’re more than just talk. Now I don’t want to keep them waiting, do I?” I said serenely. The man tried to punch me again, and I stopped his hand, inches away from my face. “You asked for it.” I said and flame came from my hand that was keeping his away from my face. He yelped and jumped back. I walked past them, but they stopped me.
“Where’s the lighter?” one said. I just glared at him coolly and showed him my hand.
“My name is Ichidou. Now back off.” They snickered. “Must I rid this world of you? You have families, correct? Stop abusing them and go home.” I said, staring each one in the eyes.
“That’s lovely, really, but you see, we don’t listen to folk like you.” I shrugged and stepped away from them, deeper into the alley. “Now go back to your insane asylum, freak.” I sighed.
“I’m actually quite sane, thank you. Now please, get out of my way. I don’t want to use force.” I snarled, my dusty golden eyes turning a glowing gold. “Get out of my way.” I spat. A few turned tail and fled, but three stayed, including the one who confronted me. I held out my hand, flame spitting around it. “Listen, I’m on my way to go kill a vampire, I don’t need any more distractions.” I growled, the flame becoming more intense. One pulled out a knife, which I quickly made burst into flames. He yelped and ran off. Only two remained. “No weapon can harm me, so don’t try.” I snarled. I touched the ringleader’s forehead, and he crumpled to the ground. Not dead, but enough pain to keep him in bed for a few weeks. The other left, screaming for mercy. I sighed. “I’m sorry, Hachi.” My eyes resumed their dusty golden color, and I pelted for the water. I looked around, making sure that there were no people around, then leapt into the water and swam. I was a pretty good swimmer, but it wasn’t my favorite sport. I dove deeper, speeding ahead. In a few hours, I would be in China, then I could run the rest of the way.

I sat across the boy. He watched me intently as we ate. There was much talking, mostly directed towards me. I felt like a fish out of water, not knowing what to do around the people. I answered as many questions as I could. There was much talk about me taking over Mitsukai's throne. When all of the questions were answered, and the food was finished, most kindly took leave. Soon it was just me, my siblings, Sam, Toya, Akita, Milo, and his doushi, a beautiful otter named Millie. “So what are your plans, will you stay long in Yuri?” Milo asked. I shrugged.
“I honestly have no clue. Just a month ago, I was Koori of the ice, and I babysat polar bears.” I blushed. He nodded thoughtfully.
“Will you stay the night before going to Ayame?” he asked.
“If you want, then of course I shall.” I replied.
“Okay.” Was his only reply. He obviously didn’t know how to react around me, and I felt the same way towards him. He was deep in thought, but I stayed out of his mind as a polite guest in his home. “Could you please tell me the whole story without leaving anything out?” he asked softly and I smiled. He was truly a child deep down. So I told him the whole story, from the hurricane flight to the present. He hung on to every word, never interrupting. When I was finished, he said, “Someday someone should write your story. It would be beautiful.” He said shyly and I smiled.
“Maybe someday.” I said dreamily. Though I doubted that anyone would care to read it.
“You know, you aren’t like the other leaders.” He said. I blinked.
“Is that bad?” I asked, terrified of his answer.
“No, you’re nice. Like, truly nice. The others are okay, but they all treat me like a kid.” I sighed in relief.
“Oh. Thank you. Well, you’re only a few years younger than me and you’re easy to get along with.” I said. It was the truth. His face brightened.
“I hope you do become queen of Ayame, then I wouldn’t be so alone all of the time.” I smiled.
“Just for that, I might.” I told him, and he returned my smile. Soon, a woman came in and cleared the table. “Thank you!” I called after her. She nodded her thanks to me, and continued on her way.
“Would you like to see the room we have prepared for you?” I looked at him in astonishment.
“It’s already ready?” I asked. He shrugged.
“It always is. There is a girl’s room and a boy’s room for you and your siblings.” He nodded towards us, Sam included. I smiled at him.
“Thank you a ton, Milo!” he smiled back.
“No problem, Yuki. Usually, leaders make everyone include their title, which makes another difference, it makes you seem more open.” I blushed.
“Should I require people to call me Princess Yuki?” I asked. He shook his head.
“No, you should keep it with Yuki. People will like you more and you won’t have to deal with millions of annoying titles.” He grinned and I returned his smile.
“Thanks.”
“No problem. Now would you like to see your room? If you need extra clothes, there are some there that could work.”
“And again, I think that I might put Ayame in ruin by thanking you too much.” I laughed.

Alia stepped into the room and smiled to herself. Everything in the room was a shade of blue.
“I love blue.” She told me and walked up to the closet. “I wonder what clothes we should wear tomorrow.” I walked up to her, looking inside of the wardrobe. There was a multitude of different colors of clothes, but Alia and I chose blue ones anyway. Mine was a simple sapphire dress that had its own intricate beauty in the swaying lines. It looked like a crystal made out of water. There were no ruffles, or layers or anything annoying added to it. It was perfect. Alia told me that it looked like something a medieval person would wear, and I smiled. Alia chose a short dress that was made for summer walks along the beach. It was something that wasn’t exactly formal, yet perfect for her personality. It was a lighter shade of blue with darker blue additions. “What time is it?” she asked. I looked at the blue clock, the navy hands pointing to the time eight forty-three.
“Eight forty-three.” I told her.
“Amazing, you were in Antarctica for almost your whole life, and yet you can read.” I blushed.
“I don’t know, I think I was taught when I was young and it just stuck with me. Also, I learn whatever I can whenever I can.” I smiled.
“Maybe you should go to a library sometime.” Alia said. My eyes glowed.
“Someday.” She giggled at my response. “We might as well get some sleep before we travel again.” I said. She agreed and we laid on the blue bed after I folded in my wings.
“Do you think Toya likes me?” Alia whispered and I grinned.
“Who doesn’t?” I laughed. She shrugged.
“You think he’s my type?” she prodded me and I glanced at her.
“I think he’s all over you.” I poked her back and she sighed.
“Man, it sucks to be a princess.”
“Why?” I asked softly.
“You can’t love who you want, or do what you want.” She said sadly.
“We are right now, right?”
“I guess so.” She rolled over and pulled the covers over her head. I turned off the light and lay there, contemplating everything. Only until I heard her soft, rhythmic breathing, did I allow myself to slip into the world of sleep.
