I finished reading The Cabinet of Wonders this morning before I went to my workshop. It was a nice combination of "historical" fiction and fantasy (kind of a fantastical historical fiction). But the characters and plot were enjoyable, and it had elements like tin animals and Roma and John Dee, so quite fun.
The first day of my workshop on grant writing was not as boring as I had feared, but still not the most interesting, especially when it provides fodder for still more busy work.
