It doesn't have to be like this,
but it is.

I want to defy everything I've said
to you in the past week,
but I can't.

We should be friends,
not enemies.
I want to try to mend everything,
but I've dug my grave so deep,
there is no possible way out.

But, I know,
if I tried
you'd take me back,
you'd smile and forget my harsh words.

Too bad, I never will.
I'll never forget the conniving,
baskstabbing things you did,
no matter what,
they will always come to mind.

All I feel is regret.
Regret for being your friend
in the first place.
Regret for trusting you
and regret for turning my back,
allowing you to stab me.

Regret for falling for you,
regret for letting your sharp tongue
bring tears to my eyes
and a blade to my wrist[ emo ].

I regret everything,
but I never wish it didn't happen.
It was something I'll never forget,
and never recover from.

P.S. Don't laugh, I was pouring out my emotions there. And if you know who I'm talking about please don't tell him at school that I'm writing about him and missing him.
