Chapter 1

Telling by the veil of darkness, it was around midnight. The full moon could give me just enough light so I could see. It seems I could take the long way home tonight.
My name is Domonic Hile. The color of my hair just by looking at it you would think it was black, but you would be wrong it is really dark brown. They change color more then they should, the color of my eyes depending on my mood. Tonight they were a misty gray. My skin is pale as possible with out being translucent. With a small cross around my neck hanging from a small silver chain.
As I walked home I wondered what was the point of all the lights in this town everyone calls it the city of lights or niigata. It always has had many sky scrapers reaching ever corner of the city.
While walking form street light to street light. I heard foot steps behind me. Although when I turned around there was nothing but a few leaf from the turning trees of fall blowing across the side walk.
“it must have been my imagination” he said quietly.
“What was your imagination?” a soft but lovely voice said.
When I turned around there was a girl about my highth standing behind me. She was in dark clothing it seemed to be a shade of gray. Her hair was a dim silver down to middle of her back. She had pale green eyes set behind thin glasses. She seemed so unusual from all the other girls I know.
“who are you?” he spoke with shock in his voice.
“Rose just rose.” A slight pause. “And you are?”
