I awoke some time later, bound and gagged, with a blindfold over my eyes. I tried in vain to get my hands loose, but stopped suddenly when I heard a heavy door open behind me. I remained as still as I could, hoping my captors would think me still unconscious.

?What should we do with him?? asked a gruff voice from somewhere behind me.

?The Boss told us to leave him. Any marks on him and we?re food for the nasfuratu.? Came the hoarse reply.

My whole body stiffened. ?N-nas? What the hell are they thinking?? Suddenly aware that I had stopped breathing, I tried as hard as I could to exhale without being noticed.

The loud bang of a heavy wooded door hitting hard against a stone wall distracted me and I jumped, biting my lip to keep from making any noise. Thankfully, their attention had been turned to the third person in the door.

?Has the captive awoken yet?? came a faint hiss from the direction of the door.

I remember having to regain control over my ever-increasing panic. Having to choke down the fear when the third man spoke, his tone cold and smooth as ice.

Footsteps echoed through the small dungeon as he paced slowly over to where I lay. Roughly, he turned me to lay on my back and the chains around my wrists dug into the small. Not sure what was happening, I tried as hard as I could to regain my composure, but to no avail. My chest heaved with fear and by heart raced when I felt him removing the blind fold. It took a few moments for my eyes to adjust to the dim light of the room, and by the time I was able to fully make out where I was he had already signaled for the other two to leave.

I looked around the room. Small and dark with no windows, hard stone floor and walls, and a large wooden door. There were chains on the walls where skeletons still hung from their bony wrists. Apart from that the room was completely empty, save for the two of us.

?So, young one,? My attention once again turned to the man in front of me and I finally was able to make out what he looked like. Paler than I, eyes a glowing amber, tall, dark hair and a thin, pointed face. Gorgeous.

When it became apparent that I wasn?t going to say anything, he continued, voice cold as ever. ?You seem to have lost your way. You?re pretty far from your own territory.?

Still, I remained silent, afraid to speak. He pulled me up into a sitting position, his long nails digging into my arms.

?Things like that are punishable by death, do you realize that?? Malice flashed in his eyes and finally I was able to choke out a response.

?I-I did not know?? Great. Just perfect. ?I did not know?, he?ll believe that alright. Idiot.

In one swift movement he slapped my face hard enough to knock me back onto the cold floor. ??did not know??? He asked, anger building in his eyes. ?Listen Boy, I Do Not know who the hell you think you are, but you will never disrespect me like that again.? His voice remained calm, but his eyes showed otherwise. I wasn?t going to get out of this alive, it was just a matter of time before I realized it.
