Did you know that over the past couple of year’s corals reefs around the world have been dying and disappearing, dramatically decreasing the amount of Coral Spots around the world which will result in destroying nursery areas, therefore leading them into extinction. Studies show that if this were to continue Coral Reefs would be completely be wiped out in a couple of decades. The ships also scrape over the coastal reefs, destroying even more reefs.
Long-line fishing is when ships cast out large nets to catch masses of fish in a same catch. Unfortunately, they also catch sea turtles, seabirds and other animals that are not the fish that they want, most get killed or injured.

The negatives for us humans are that we won’t enjoy our favourite type of fish in the future. Or that the more we catch the same fish at one time, the lesser the catches are in the next years, and the lesser the fish is in the market, therefore increasing the price of the fish. Or maybe that companies spend money on fishing fleets, but it’s two or three times the size of the catch, so it pollutes even more than usual and wastes money.
