Ambush of the Last...

A kunoichi is sent to track down, befriend, and kill Nyatta Kigarra later on in her life. This is the complete fighting scene. Comments and constructive criticism are encouraged and greatly appreciated, but if you flame then I'll just delete your comment. Enjoy!

"Misura..." I grinned happily. "Misura! There you are! Thank god..." I panted, kneeling over a little. "I thought you'd been attacked! We can go back now, Misu-" My eyes went wide as my breath was cut short. Misura was choking me...

And smiling. Not only smiling....

Laughing. Right at me.

"Mi...su..." I gasped for air. "Misura!" I wheezed. What in hell are you- Let go!"

"Ok." With a wicked grin she let me go... And sent me flying into a nearby tree.

I tried to react, but my body wasn't doing what my mind was telling it to. 'What the hell?!' I grimaced as my body slammed hard into the tree and a deafenig crack was heard. I dropped to the ground, useless, as a sharp pain tore through my right leg.

It was broken.

"Kyaah!" I sat there, writhing like an idiot. Nothing made sense anymore. Nothing mattered. The person who had claimed to be my best, true friend was betraying me...she was hurting me and seeming to love every second of it.

"Aww. I'm sorry. That hurt, didn't it?" Misura's grin was even wider as she kneeled beside me. "Then again..." A look of mock thoughtfulness spread across her face as she toyed with one of her short red curls before she said, "You Kigarra would be ones to be weak." She shrugged casually, as if what she said wasn't anything offensive. "Oh well. Guess it must be because you're all 'Konoha's Legendary Healers'. The hokage probably pampered you guys."

“That’s not true!” I spat, still clutching my leg. “You…Misura, what’s gotten into you?”

“Oh, shut up.” With that, she sent her right elbow into my stomach. Hard.

My eyes went wide in pain, shock and most of all, utter disbelief. Why was she doing this to me?

I got to my feet and staggered forward, the pain tearing at my right leg as I dragged it along uselessly. My entire body was prickling with rage; I was feeling it burn down my spine. It was a hatred I thought I would have never felt in my entire life… It was so strong. Perhaps too strong.

I didn’t care anymore. Misura may have said she was my friend, but for whatever reason she wasn’t willing to tell me, it was all a lie. In her heart, she wanted me dead. In her heart, there was a true hatred for me present; maybe as strong as mine was currently. I did not like liars, or being lied to or deceived. But this was far beyond that line.

I wanted Misura Enama dead.

My body began to give off a pins and needles feeling as the familiar dark green chakra emanated from me. I let it consume me, let the rage course throughout my veins unrestricted, unbridled. Never in my life had I felt so much power… It was overwhelming and for the first time ever I truly wasn’t afraid. I wasn’t even thinking right anymore. This rage…this power was my source of strength to use to keep myself alive and finally, really fight back. Limits were suddenly nonexistent.

‘How she is able to move?!’ Misura charged at me with full speed, both fists tightly clenched as she swung them my way. I caught both just a split second before they could hit my face, then threw her body to the ground. Unfortunately, I wasn’t strong enough and she quickly got to her feet and kept her balance. With agility I couldn’t track, she drew a kunai and dug the tip into my broken leg. I winced, but refused to scream as the pain only increased. I couldn’t feel my right leg at all anymore.

There was no need for hand signs to make the trees uproot themselves; my rage was strong enough. Half of my work had already been done for me; I just needed to move my fingers to direct the trees. Pressing together my middle and index fingers on each hand, I jerked the four fingers up. In response, the trees that had been uprooted rose into the air… I counted three. I thrusted my fingers towards Misura’s direction and the trees quickly followed.

My rage was already clouding my better judgment; I’d already forgotten about her speed. Misura’s agile body avoided the trees with ease and after they had all crashed to the ground, she was only left with a scratch on her left knee.

“Damn it,” I muttered under my breath. Even though I was no longer restraining myself, that jutsu was still taking a lot out of me – in fact, maybe that was why I was beginning to tire more quickly. I could even feel myself trembling, still feel that warm, dangerous prickle of rage throughout my spine. It was driving me insane.

“What’s wrong? Having some issues with Rage Destruction?” Misura taunted in a singsong voice.

“Shut up…” I growled. This wasn’t good. I was losing my focus! Maybe this uncontrolled version of Rage Destruction was becoming more trouble than it was worth. If that were the case, I’d be seriously screwed.

“Aw, c’mon Nya-nya! I thought you were stronger than this!” Misura rushed towards me, double bladed kunai in each hand.

“Don’t call me that!” My anger was growing with everything she said.

“What ever are you saying?” She halted, and for a minute I was confused. “I thought we were…” Misura paused her dialogue. Instead, she held the kunai up to the sun and I winced, shielding my eyes. “Friends!” She brought all four of the double bladed kunai into my arms; two kunai in each. I let out a cry in pain as the sharp, slightly warm metal sunk into my flesh. But this was a fight, and I had to win. Because this was a fight for my life. And when you’re fighting for you life, there is no time to be weak.

“We never were friends…” I ripped the kunai out of my arms and let the blood trickle out of the deep gashes that they came from. “You made that very clear.”

“Did I?” A large grin spread across her face.

“Don’t act like a dumbass!” I cried, throwing all four kunai in Misuara’s direction with a flick of both my wrists. She dodged and that was enough to distract her. Misura was taken off guard and I ran at her, sending kick after kick into her stomach with my good leg until she grabbed it and slammed me to the ground. I landed with a huge lack of grace, my face meeting the ground. As I looked up, I could she that she was coughing up blood.

“You’re so dense…” Misura picked me up by my shirt’s collar. “You never saw this coming, you trusted me openly…” She laughed. “You’re just like the rest of the pathetic Kigarra clan; pathetic, weak, and stupid."

“Go to Hell!” I snapped. I bit into her wrist hard and she let me go with a yelp. I quickly caught my balance and got to my feet. If I could just weave the hand signs for Reverse Healing…

“Oh no you don’t! I know those hand signs!” Misura quickly eight shuriken; one for each finger, and threw them my way. As she wanted I broke the focus in my hand signs and attempted to catch all, or at least most of them…only to get small cuts on my fingers.

There was no time to react. One minute Misura was right in front of me and the next she was gone. By the time I went to turn around her right foot was holding down my entire body. Rage Destruction was wearing off and my body felt broken, numb, weak. I felt a kunai press roughly to my neck…and then there was nothing.
