... Even on my very own un-birthday.
It's the 23rd, and my birthday is officially one month closer. I wanted to gain the 50 dollars my mom has been promising for the last few years and add that up to my savings... if my calculations are correct, (and they usually are) I'd be able to buy the gorgeous longboard that caught my eye at the mall whilst I was window shopping, as I do every visit to the mall. I was planning on asking my dad if he could just pay for the tax of something... you know, since I'd only have enough for the board itself then. You know, I'd just ask them to give it to me for my real birthday, but my mom said it was too dangerous and that she refuses to "waste" her money on that "abomination of a toy," as I see her saying. And, before I continue to digress, instead we went to The Home Depot. Yes, Home Depot, not even close to the mall, not even closely related to the object I wanted to buy in the first place.
First of all, I don't even have any idea why they wanted to go in the fist place... something about repairing the stairs in the backyard, I believe. Then we went to my auntie's, boyfriend's, place to get some old wood that we were going to use to replace the eroding sand stairs up in the backyard. It was dark and rotting, but in pretty good shape. don't get me wrong, the slabs of their old fence were just perfect, and we're really thankful that he gave it to us for free... then again, who doesn't love free stuff?
