To start off, THE SWINE FLU IS NOT LIKE THE NORMAL FLU!! The Swine Flu is much deadlier.

To begin with, all the names this virus has been given, ARE WRONG! It is not a Swine Flu, that is just a nickname for what it actually is. The Influenza Virus (Why can’t we just name it that?) is actually a mixture of Swine Flu, Aviary Flu, and Human Flu all put together. This is why people are so panicked about it. There will definitely NOT be a cure for this for many reasons, one, A vaccine takes at LEAST six months to be made, but that’s just for one virus. Two, we are dealing with three viruses combined. Three, two of those virus are ANIMAL viruses, so we only have the slightest idea of how they work. Four, we can’t be sure of how the virus works, until we repeatedly wait for people to die from it and see how they die. THAT’S TOO MUCH LIVES BEING LOST!!!

Now, there was a similar, but false alarm, epidemic in the early 1900’s. One man in the army died a flu like death, and panic arose. Only that one soldier. Now, this was in the middle of a presidential race, so both candidates wanted to win so badly, they would cause a real epidemic. They kept telling people that they would have a vaccine rushed to help people. The vaccine was rushed in about two-three months (remember, at least six months). That vaccine, killed not hundreds of people, but THOUSANDS. All because just ONE soldier died from a flu like death. What we face today is much different.

There is one more story in the early 1900’s that was NOT a false alarm. There was in fact a Swine Flu epidemic (appropriately named at that time for only being Swine and Human Flu). What happened at this time, happened in what we call ‘waves’. The first wave was in 1928, when the Swine Flu spread , only a few people died on this flu season. They couldn’t make a vaccine for reasons I don’t know. The next year flu season (1929), there were lots more people dying. Over five-thousand I believe. The last year flu season, (1930), HALF OF THE UNITED STATES WAS DEAD! That is how deadly two-thirds of our Flu is. Now we have added another third, to make it even worse.

To make this simple, how the waves work. When you get the virus, it gets stronger as it’s in you. Then, you infect someone else, or you infect an object that someone will touch. The stronger virus waits for someone new to infect, or for a new ‘host’. Then the newly infected person will become much sicker than the first person. This is how waves kill more and more people at a time. Usually, people don’t tend to be closer to each other and as bunched together during the spring and summer, which is why the virus seems to wait until the next flu season after it basically dries up for the season. During this time, the virus gets ready to infect and kill more people. That is how the waves work.

There are many theories on how this virus would have spread. The main way that this would have been possible is that if a pig had died with Swine Flu, and its decaying body was met by a scavenger bird. That bird would probably be a chicken or turkey mistaking the pig for it’s food. The bird would’ve had Aviary Flu, and got the Swine in it’s system. A couple of days later, it either dies, or someone kills it, and the next thing you know, you’re eating it off your plate in a one star restaurant and you get the Flu a few hours later. Now you’ve got what we have today. A mix of all three flu’s. There is one more theory I will share with you. Now, suppose a bird with Aviary Flu drops dead as it flies over a pig with Swine Flu’s feed. The pig eats it thinking it’s all normal. Then, the same thing as before happens, you’re eating it off your plate and you’re getting sick. You again have what we have today.

The names of what we’re giving the Flu today are incorrect for many reasons, but I will only name a few. Calling this the Swine Flu is incorrect because it is not just the Swine Flu, or mainly the Swine Flu, so there is no point in calling it that. People in the pig selling industry are also offended because the pig sales have dropped massively recently. The name H1N1 is also incorrect because when describing the types of Flu’s, H1 and N1 together are categorized in the Human Flu category. In fact that is a type of Human Flu. This is why those names are incorrect, and pretty soon people are going to be offended that the virus is in English letter (yes, this is a world wide panic, not just the US), so we’re probably going to have to invent some symbol or something to signal it.
