Hi! Well, I'm getting really into thinking of making my own manga! It's still in the planning process, but hopefully soon I can get into it even more. It's basically about a parallel world to ours, where demons and humans live together. It's going to have lots of different countries' folktales on demons (like stories from Egypt, Japan, America, China, and more. Which means lots research, but that's ok. ^_^') , also somewhat of a mystery story. In this world the schools are usually segregated, and the University that it will be mainly about is the first one to allow humans to what was once just a demon school. The main character is the first one to enroll, and it's about his adventures, trials, etc. I'm really excited about this! It's been fun just planning it all out. I have another idea for another manga, which is about the many stories of the animals I've had in the past. More of a comedic type of stories.
The weather here is really heating up. They're new records being hit for the area. Yesterday it got up to 90 degrees. Today, they said it will be similar. I've just been dying from it.
Oh, and I like my new therapist so far. She practices a new therapy called Acceptance Commitment Therapy or ACT. It's about accepting your thoughts, actions, and mood, being kind to them, and how to live a fulfilling life with them. She suggested I get a workbook on how to deal with my anxiety. It sounds interesting so far, but they keep talking about how action (not just thinking about it) is key and there hasn't been any exercises to work on. She said that after the first part of the book they make you do a lot of things, but this part is just like setting it up. We'll see. This therapist actually listens to me and understands. We also did an exercise on trying to will away negative thoughts where she made me have an image of a yellow jeep in my head. Then, she said I want you to think of something else for a minute. The entire time, the jeep kept popping up. She said this is what happens when you try to will things away that you think about. So, that was interesting, she's going to teach me how to accept them and not make it stop me from doing things.
I also got an 88% on a recent Japanese vocabulary quiz. So, I'm learning a lot. My mom was impressed that I can write in it now. I'm making a ton of flashcards for myself that keep piling up.
