can you not see
that when it happened
you hurt me
endlessly
i loved you
but i wanted
love back too
i pretended
it was gone
cause i was helpless
like a newborn fawn
truly i say i love you

but i cant hate you
i just miss you
i miss the smile
everyday
the lovely voice
lifted my heart away
and finally my sight
saw an angel
always perfectly in place
like held by insane gel
my senses all died
only one thing would stand
a big red heart
urging to kiss your hand
to be with you forever
that's my dream
to have to leave you
the thought makes me scream
scream and cry
make me feel like
its easier to die
then to withstand this pain
but it doesn't have to be pain
not after the writing of these words

keep my thoughts from being stirred
