Salathielly's Commonplace Log
I haven't been online. Also anime.
So, I watched all of InuYasha, finally, as well as the four movies. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. I guess it seemed kind of childish when I first saw a few episodes, and some of it still is (let's shout out the name of our attack every time we use it, wtf?), but several of the characters ended up being interesting, or at least intriguing. Miroku was fun, even if he was a lecher, and Sesshoumaru, Jaken, and Rin had some very interesting dynamics between them.

Then I watched Aishiteruze Baby, which was a shojo anime and completely different. Mostly it was about this playboy high schooler who becomes more responsible by caring for his five year old niece whose mother has abandoned her. Although some of the situations were unrealistic, on the whole it really dealt with several serious issues - feelings of abandonment and loneliness, mostly. It helped that the little girl was really cute.

Then I decided to watch Fruits Basket again. If any series will kill you with cuteness, that one would. I mean, Tohru is just so over-the-top nice, and everyone's problems are solved by her kindness. Overall, though, despite the message being perhaps overly optimistic, it's still good, and I like a lot of the characters. Momiji is probably my favorite, although Shigure is fun too (especially watching Shigure and Ayame and Hatori interact).

Now I'm watching Scrapped Princess, yet another series I've only seen a few episodes of. Rah.

Still looking for a job. Also also rah.
