Why Pre-paid legal is a scam!

Okay, I can't say that the service is a scam, listen to me when I say this. The service is wonderful, I believe Legal insurance is VERY important. Just like car, health, and life insurance.

But!

Working for them is nothing short of a pyramid scam.
This service as an employment is promoted as being a "home based business" that can make you $1000's of dollars in a month and only work part time!

Here is what they don't tell you:
1: You need to already be financially well off before you start this "Home based business" because other wise you are in charge of buying your own supplies and are in charge of paying for your own gas. Now the upside to this is that you get to write it off as a deductible on your taxes. But that won't really help you.

2: You have to be ACTIVE in your "recruiting" because the only way to make Real money is to get your own group of people working for you. More than likely this is how you (if you are in this selling scam) were recruited. The person makes money off of you, just as you would make money off the people under you and o on down the line. This is the very basis of a pyramid scam. The man at the top makes all of the money while the people under him get a kick back. The second step on the ladder gets less than #1 but more than #3 and so on down the line. This makes you an active participant in a scam to make the rich richer and you poorer.

3: Weekly "meeting" and "super Saturday's" are said to be training sessions where you learn how to advance your own group of associates. These are nothing more that Hype inducing groups. They have the wealthy business owner come in and give a presentation about how well he/she did with pre-paid legal, but fail to mention that they already were financially secure before they devoted their time to this so-called business. This is supposed to induce a sense of "accomplishment" in the associates and make them believe that they too can one day be wealthy.

There are more points but none i want to point out. But I do have a real life testimonial from a pre-paid associate. Not only is she a member and associate, but she is sister to an associate and daughter to an associate. Here is her story.

Elvira (name has been changed) worked her butt off to find and hire people for her group, including friends, family, and random strangers. All under the guise of making money in her spare time. The hopes and dreams were enhanced by these "super saturday's" and "group trainings" each week. She got internet and phone with PPL (Pre-Paid Legal) would pay for it with her monthly kick backs. She had dreams because of the hype her father had pushed into her head.

But here is what happened. Elvira spent all her time and money on PPL, going to groups in different states and far off in her own state. Gas started to rise in cost and money started to be tight. But with all the trainings promised her a better future. Not only did Elvira lose her internet and phone service, her PPL business cost her her home. The promises of this phony business told her that she didn't need a real job. PPL would pay for everything. She lost her home she was purchasing, lost her phone, internet, lost her husband, and pretty much anything that made her life better.

This business is nothing but a scam. Warn your loved ones from joining it as an associate.

But, if you happen to be offered the service, a legal professional for 40 bucks a month is a good deal.
