billio - from the australian outback
chips - french fries.
chrimbo hols - christmas holidays.
coach - bus.
conk - nose.
creches - nursery. kindergarten. playschool. a kind of day prison for toddlers.
crisps - potato chips.
duffing up - beating up. not so violent, involves a lot of pushing and an occasional pinch.
dustbins - trash cans.
f** - a cigarette.
footie - soccer.
fringe - bangs.
get off with - snogging. see snog.
gob - an attractive term for someone's mouth.
gorgey - gorgeous.
jammy dodger - a biscuit with jam in it.
jimjams - pajamas. also known as jammies or pygmies.
knickers - embarrasingly large underwear.
lead - also known as a leash. used to throttle animals on walks.
loo - in america, we call it the "restroom", which is funny because i never feel like having a rest when i go to the loo.
nappy - diaper. used on toddlers to prevent unwanted excretions from going on the carpet.
nub - the heart of the matter. the point of it.
rucky - a backpack.
shirty - flustered and twitchy.
slack alice - someone stupid and nerdy. stupid as in socially stupid.
snog - to kiss.
wet - a useless idiot.
