Zekka was born a princess in the most powerful of the three kingdoms. Though she was pampered through out her life, her father never let her outside of the castle walls. Every day she wished that she could go outside, smell the flours even play with the other children. And every day she knew that it could never happen. So, she would sit in the library and read about the things she was missing. Yes, at a very early age the king knew zekka was special. For most children her age couldn't read at two. But she could read novels and fully understand each word. The king took note as she grew older and more unstable, always wanting to go outside. One day as the king was passing by her chambers he noticed zekka sitting alone on her bed, sulking. But what he noticed was the mass of shadows that had been swirling about. Day after day he would spy on her, watching as her power over the darkness grew until one day the king ordered her to the court.
Zekka bowed and asked why he called her. He simply smiled and said, "I have seen your gift, you will train and fight for me zekka. The first of your kind." he was so confident that she would grow stronger and help him win his battles. years went by and zekka grew into a young woman, strong and able to fight with both weapons and shadows. As she turned eighteen the king sent zekka to destroy a rebel town. She did so, killing everything in sight; Men, women, children. They were all the same, had the same face that held her in bondage so many years. As her skills with shadows improved so did her thirst for blood. The king knew of her thirst and sent her fresh males every week. But they died soon after meeting her, and no one wanted to send their young males to the king. As the hunger built in her mind as she battled, she began to feed on the other soldiers and people and soon she was taking members of the court. Enraged, her father imprisoned her in her room, making sure no one was allowed in and she was allowed out. Deprived of life-blood zekka grew weak and began to fade. A knock on the door surprised her, when it was opened the king stood there holding shackles. "For your crimes against this kingdom i am selling you into slavery. There are many people who would pay to have you as their own. I'm sorry Zekka." he said coldly as he shackled her and sent her on her way.
