Goti the Kid and Gothic Butterfly
Many people were baffled when this month's MCs were released.
Everyone was excited about the hint that we'd get a modern reimagining of a classic item. We all took this to mean a counterpart to an old item that doesn't have a counterpart.
The forums were screaming silver/mythrill laurels at last.
What'd we get? Goti the Kid and Gothic Butterfly.
People didn't know which one was the counterpart. XD Goti the Kid is the remake of Goti Clips. The Gothic Butterfly could be a remake of the butterfly mantilla or of the gothic veil.
However, the hint told us that we'd get one reimanining and one item that's a dark and delicate new creation. I'd venture a guess that the gothic butterfly is more delicate than the kid. Therefore, the kid is the remake. Plus, the hint was right on the mark... Goti the Kid is a modern reimagining of Goti Clips.
I never went into the GCD, but I'm sure they were disappointed that they didn't get their silver laurels.
People were also shocked to find out that Goti Clips were goats. XD Well Bani Clips are bunnies... so.. the Goti Clips are most likely also an animal. Unless you read the name like, "gawt - ee" you should hear a word that sounds like "goat." :3 And, I don't know, the clips always looked like little goat heads with red eyes and grey horns to me. *shrugs*
People also say that they can't wait for "Bani the Kid." For one thing, the word "kid" is used to describe young goats. Bunnies are not goats. I also can't wait for the reimagining of the Bani Clips, but I bet the name won't be "Bani the Kid." I just don't know what young bunnies are called... I call them bunnies.

You know what irks me? XD; It's so small and doesn't irk me that much... but now I don't want to wear my clips. I realized that i hadn't been wearing them. The other day, i threw on my clips for a few minutes. I also had plans of wearing them more, but now I can't. If I wear them, it'll look like I'm wearing them just because of this month's MC.

Goti the Kid
As far as these months items go, the kid tugs at my heartstrings of nostalgia. I love a good remake.
The item is cute and contains all the classic cute sought after items: animal fleece hat, animal shaped backpack, plushie (though it's a very realistic plushie) and animal slippers. Oh, and horns. Everyone loves horns. All we're missing is headphones, but I guess that's where the Goti Clips sort of step in.
All it's missing is ribbons and bows. ...Which is good. The Goti the Kid is a masculine cute item for guys. XD
The item should remain popular because it's tied to an old item. Automatic prestige. It also has all of those classic poses. However, those kinds of poses were sought after because they were so rare. Now we're saturated with all sorts of options for animal hats, slippers, plushies, backpacks... and we're bound to get more. People won't really need this item. The item is red and black though. (People will ignore that the grey even exists). It'll remain popular because it's red and black. I want one so I can pair it with my Goti Clips. Otherwise, I don't really need this item...

Gothic Butterfly.
I have a hard time remembering its name. I keep wanting to call it the Gothic Lace.
I don't have much to say about this one. I haven't quite figured it out yet. It is a pair of butterfly wings. I immediately want to say it's the gothic mantilla's counterpart. However, I always considered the chestplate of arachne to be the counterpart of the mantilla.
The gothic veil is the counterpart of the elegant veil.
Soooo the Gothic Butterfly must really be a "new creation."
I don't care for it much at the moment. I haven't gone on a quest to match it yet, but I hate when I have to go on a quest to match items. I like when I can immediately name matching items in my head. XD; The gothic butterfly is blue... yet it is purple... Eh. You see, eventually a new item comes along where the Gothic Butterfly will be the best match to it. Everyone will want a Gothic Butterfly.
This item also only has five poses. What's up with that? You can do sooo much with these colors and a gothic butterfly and we only get five poses. I want one, but I don't know if I want to spend 250c for just five poses. ...Especially if I won't use those five poses very often. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful item. Very beautiful. It just doesn't fit my current style.

Skittles Fun Park
It hasn't been announced yet, but the Skittles world has a new fun park. When you enter the world, you can spin the same wheel it's had for a while for a chance at some random cheap items or a 100g prize.
You'll notice an arrow pointing up a ladder. You climb that ladder to the Fun Park. I noticed two games. They're both the kind of games you could find at the Rejected Olympics (from summer 08, right? It seems like so long ago). I played each game quickly, didn't do very well and got the booby prizes.
New skittles items have appeared, so I assume that they all come from the game:

Random Item Price Check
Lusty Scoundrel: It became popular during the summer event for those fitness campers who wanted to look sweaty. Its price quickly rose to 70k. Now that it's hard to get, everyone wants it and the price is now up to 100k. I wanted one of them a while ago, but never thought it'd raise in price. > < Shoot. (It's all good. I have a letter. I was just hoping to keep it as a letter.)
Raider Shih's Garment: It was down to 40k, but now up to 60k. It's picture is no longer shown as a preview item in the Lucky Chest. Does that scare people? Is that just why its price has gone up, or has it really been removed from the LC? ; ~;
Pirate Sando's Vest: Now it's 15k. Same reason as above.
Assorted Contact Lens Set: Now 20-25k. WTH. Same reason as above. Have these items been removed from the LC? D=
I hope those items are put back into the chest soon... I still wish I'd bought the vest when it was 4k. Why didn't I? *sigh*

School Survival Guide
Today is day nine of the event. At day 10 we get the final item.
So far we've gotten a dunce cap and a textbook tower.
Each day you say you're here, you also get entered in a contest to win a Nintendo Wii (US residents only).
You earn titles for the amount of posts you've made in any of the forums during this event. The titles you earn under your name are all for fun (no item reward) and last until the end of the event. The titles you can earn are as follows:

I think the titles are sort of backwards. xD I don't know how people are going about earning their titles, but I'd assume that there's a lot of bumping involved. With this sort of event, you appear smarter if you've made a lot of mindless posts on the site. If you only post a few well thought out posts on the site a day, you're not very smart.
I say that, but I do think these titles are a fun idea. Most of us regular Gaians haven't had the chance or will never have a chance to have titles under our usernames.

I'm pretty sure this was released about a week ago, on the 10th.

The other day, someone won about 12m. o: But no one has chosen the lucky numbers lately, so the current jackpot is around 50m. Bizarre.
I know the tickets are only 100g and I can get that easily with a BG or a couple posts, but I just haven't made my way around to buying a ticket yet.
I hope that this is a good gold sink. I hope it somehow takes in more gold than it's giving back out.

zOMG
I believe I played zOMG on 9/12/9 and received two of the last three rings I needed to complete my ring collection. I got adrenaline and improb sphere. I still don't have iron will. I hear that's a key ring when fighting sand fluffs since you need willpower to resist their charms, not defense. Le grr.
I've ventured into the Otami Ruins. I can live from square to square... barely. I barely have time to stop and take a breather before the monsters spawn back again. There's just no time to rest there at this level. The place gives me lots of ring drops though.
I have found out that the Duneslam quest is not as scary as I thought it was. It's a tough solo act. However, if you go in there with four people on easy, you can beat it easily for 11-12 orbs. With six people on normal, you can earn 26-30 orbs per round. With a weak crew who are only around level six, you can beat it on easy. ...not on normal. (I call them weak because they had no strategy, nor played with any strategy. It's hard to stay huddle in a group since the castles knock you around. If you all stay by the boat, you get knocked around less and every can heal with diagnose. They also didn't use any buffs. Come on. I know that not everyone uses buffs. But usually someone else in a crew of six people also has at least one buff.) I was with that weak crew and wondered why we were having such a tough time. There were six of us. ... Only two of us were 7.1. The next highest was 6.5. A couple around six. One 5.7 and a 5.3. x ----x; And then I noticed that the 5.3 guy only hit things a couple times then ran off and didn't hit a single monster so he'd live. He was leaching! And he was crew leader. Psssh. If that was agreed upon by the start, fine... but.. that was.. ughhh. I left the crew after that since the people were annoying me anyway. ^^;;
I don't like Gold Beach's random event. Everyone has to work together to kill 100 P3s before the time runs out (I think it's 20 mins). You then earn orbs depending on how many pups you helped defeat. I do like the idea of it. I don't like that it's not possible if most people aren't helping. You must be capped at 7.0 to participate. At 7.0, you can take on one pup. However, more pups usually walk through and attack. Pups also get into fights with the local sand fluffs and sand dunes. If you attack a pup, you inherit the monsters he was fighting. It's tough to stay alive. if you band together with other people in the same square, it's not so tough.
Problem is, half the time there's not enough people.
And, lots of people take the opportunity to run around and collect chests while the other people are distracted by pups...
I fought my hardest one day. We got 96 pups before the time ran out. We got no reward. Another day, I helped kill 34 pups and got an 11 orb reward. Someone else shouted that they killed 38 pups and earned like 17 orbs. ...And on another day, I loaded into the beach to find three minutes of the event left. I helped kill four pups and earned five orbs. Either that or I helped with five pups and earned four orbs. ...Either way, I don't understand the orbs business there. >B

The rings I currently carry with me are
Solar 7.7, mantis 7.7, Dervish 7.5, Diagnose 7.6, Teflon 7.2, Meat 7.4, Div 7.2, Defib 6.1.
My overall CL is 7.5. I still have never destroyed any random rings that I found or chose after a quest.
Dervish is weak! I hate it. It barely does any damage to monsters. Problem is, it still comes in handy when mobs are around. ...Or when I want to claim multiple anchor bugs at once. I love meat. A PR4 with around full ghi raises my HP to 1400-something. I carry defib since it comes in handy during those random events. It also comes in handy during the duneslam encounter. I don't like to waste orbs on it. I know the people get more HP the higher the ring is... but I swear it doesn't really give that much more HP with each level raised.
So far, I think I'm still stuck at a point where I must grind for orbs. I've always hated that term. Anyway. It seems like duneslam crews are my best option at the moment. Plus, it helps you fulfill that kill 20 sand dunes for four orbs quest at the same time. I'm just not strong enough to survive solo in Otami Ruins yet. I know a lot of you higher level zOMG players may be laughing at me, but hey, I'm just a casual player who's still trying to figure things out.
