In Islam, there are Five Pillars according to the Sunni. They are, as follows:
+ Shahadah
--- The Profession of Faith
+ Salat
--- Five Daily Prayers
+ Zakat
--- Alms
+ Sawm
--- Fasting for Ramadan (the 9th month of the Islamic lunar year)
+ Hajj
--- Pilgrimage to Mecca
Now, not being Muslim myself, could I translate these principals to my own religion? Could everyone? We'll start with me, for example.
+ Shahadah
--- Easy said, AND done
+ Salat
--- I go out and commune more than five times a day already, so, no change there. There's no direction I can think of for me to face, however.
+ Zakat
--- I do give back money by donating money to preserve wildlife and nature.
+ Sawm
--- This one's a little harder to translate to mine. During Ramadan, it is complete abstinence from sun up to sun down, to teach patience and self-control. What month would I pick? As a lunar cycle is about 27-28 days long, would the month matter? It's something I'd have to think about and reflect on more, but I know I could do it.
+ Hajj
--- Probably the hardest one to answer. Where would I go? A place on Earth that I concider holy or divine. A place I feel I could have a deep religious connection with... I'm drawing up blanks. Hajj is for all Muslims that can financially and physically get to Mecca during the month of Dhu al-Hijjah (last month of the year). I really don't know.
Can you take the Five Pillars and translate them to your religion?

Yes, I can translate them into my religion. Hence my trip to Egypt.
