Ryuurei's Journal...Thing
It's a journal...thing. Whatever. >.>
D8
I'm half-tempted to get an LJ. I only get on Gaia to update my journal nowadays. <_< And it's also a good way to start anew without going back and deleting or privatizing old journal entries from when I was like 14 or 15 and moody. >_>;

There isn't a whole lot going on; I'm kinda just drifting through life. D: Getting to that point where I'm realizing I'm going to graduate soon, and I have to get a job, and I'm like, "Wtf I dunno what I really wanna do. D8" And I don't draw a whole lot for fun anymore, and I can't motivate myself to, so I have nothing for a portfolio besides school work. o_x

I was occasionally applying for part-time graphic design jobs and internships, but I've stopped doing that because I plotted out the classes I need to take so I can graduate on time. And it does. Not. Look. Good. Srsly. Next semester I need to take five classes, four of which are three hours long apiece. So it's going to be about twenty-seven hours of school a week, not including out-of-class homework. Tuesday/Thursday I'm going to be in class from 9:30 AM to 4:50 PM with no breaks. x_x

I wanted a part-time job so I could work towards getting a car and bug Stephan more often, 'cause we both get kinda sulky when I can only hitch a ride every two or three weeks. <_<; This semester I could balance a job and school, but the next two or three semesters wouldn't work; I have too many classes to cram in. A weekend-only job would destroy the point of visiting him on weekends. >_> And my attempts to get a summer-only job last time were kinda full of fail. Even with a summer job, I'd have to pay for car insurance during the school year when I don't have a job, and I don't think a three-month job would do that. At best, it might barely cover it if I don't spend any of it on unnecessary things and also dip into my savings.

So I don't know what I'm gonna do. ;_; My roomie gives me a ride pretty often 'cause she goes home a lot, but since she's graduating either at the end of this school year or in the middle of the next (this is her fifth year of college currently), I'm going to be without a ride for one or two semesters, besides my dad, but I feel bad asking him to make a two-hour long drive. ._.

RAWRGH **FLAILS** D8

On the bright side of things, I'm a junior, so I don't have to deal with balancing school and work too much longer.

Still. A year and a half. Dx

In other news, Kari is going to have her baby in, like, the next week, assuming she has the baby on schedule. Oh, the craziness. D8

I'm going to attempt to throw together a Lilith cosplay in the next two weeks. More craziness. XD; May or may not get Trisha to go as my sister. <.< So far I have a purple wig which I've more or less fashioned into Lilith's hairstyle, and a red, long-sleeve leotard which I need to alter. Also, I've gone to Walmart, Target, and three costume places, all stocked up for Halloween, and I've found every color stockings except blue. DDD< WTF

I'm trying to not think about how I'm going to do the wings, but I found a tutorial for demon wings on DA, so I'm not too worried, besides time constraints...

Anyway, that's my life. And now I'm sleepy. =_= Bed tiem.

lol @ trisha-morrigan. XD as much as I'd like to see her with green hair, I don't know if you could get her to wear something like that >_>

as for the job thing. I dunno. one thing my aunt always recommends is seeing if you can land a job as like.. a secretary for one of your professors. schedule appointments for students, deliver mail, file stuff, help grade tests, answer their phone.. I think it only pays like, minimum wage ($7.25), but because they're usually slow jobs, you can work on homework at the same time. two birds with one stone 8D

car insurance, I dunno either. Kris and I both paid $100 a month or something until we ******** up our cars, and even then our insurance only went up $20. They say teenagers' rates are more expensive because we're more at-risk for an accident, but we pay less than mom does.

I used to be pretty jealous and tell mom it wasn't fair that you manage to go to school and be able to get by without having a job (since you don't have car insurance to pay, lol), but that I had to go to school and have a shitty job at the same. Now I know it sucks just as much for you as it did for me 8D yay life!

.. also my captcha thing is "wigglier majority" O-o
