EIR 11/6/9, FB 150k, h2k9 end

According to tektek, the catastrophe, reve and pietro were up for evolution. Both EI artists are busy people, so their EIs are known for being delayed. Pepper used to be prompt, but not so much anymore. And heck, I'd rather have a delayed evolution than rushed poses. It's all good and fine to me.
I just wanted to know what would happen. Would the CCoP actually evolve? O: Something like that would overshadow the Halloween event entirely. XD; Surely the cat was feeling lazy from eating Halloween candy. And, well, the reve hasn't evolved on time in quite a while~
The reve got a mini-evo of a clock.
And what!? The seracila pendant evolved. o .O; I did notttt expect that one. Part of me thought that the journal would evolve... but not the pendant. XDD It's now obvious that it's following the eastern zodiac astrology whatchamacallit. *giggles* My spell check says whatchamacallit is a word. I guess I spelled it right. XD Anyway, yeah~ pendant got a Taurus evolution. Thingamajig. Hehehehe. Thingamajig is a word too. XD <3 Grr to this spell check. It tells me all the time that actual words are spelled wrong, while words like gonna and wanna pass as words. :/ Worst spell check ever.
Anyway, yeah, the taurus evo is very cute. :3
According to tektek the next items up for evo are: cat, pietro, reve, lynd journal and the nightmare. The nightmare will evolve. I think people are expecting finales from both lynd journ and reve soon. lynd journ doesn't look like its story is at the end yet and only has 9 phases. It's a 749c item so it should have a couple more evos left at the least. The reve is on phase ten. I expect a couple more evos out of it too. Seeing as these shouldn't be finales, there's a better chance of them evolving this week. part of me thinks the cat will evolve before pietro just to toy with the users. However, some manga was posted a couple weeks back for pietro, so one would think it would evolve. The work on the event is over. I know the artists need a break... but now there's no real excuse for not working on their evolving items. I know the November RIG should be due out soon and there's always the November store item updates but that's no reason to leave the EIs in the dust. u. u;
Oh well, if all fails, the nm hasn't missed an evo yet. It has ten phases so it shouldn't end yet. There are also a couple EI artists who've yet to guest art on it.
Oh, and Buki admitted to being classilke's artist. She can't really hide when the classilke spider and nightmare spider look identical anyway. XD; 11/09/09 Demonbusters Winner Announced! [announcement]
The event ended on Fri 11/06/09. On Monday 11/09/09 we finally got the conclusion. Screen caps at the end of the event showed that SIN had won. There were rumors that BOO was glitched, so they'd have to double check the scores.
It was announced in manga. SIN won. As soon as that side won, Jack stepped in, stripped the demi-gods of their powers and returned things back to the way they were before the event. That includes killing Bruce with a potato again.
The Bruce part I would never have expected. Killing him affects the storyline. I don't know where I heard it, but I know that Gaia wants to start making more concealed events that don't alter a running storyline. We've already had the summer camp event and the school survival guide event this year... none of those altered the storyline. Biggest alteration was having to see Edmund in short shorts. I can't unsee that. D; Here came Halloween. THE Event known for stirring up the storyline each year. And what happened? Nothing. XD;
I feel sorry for SIN... was she returned to that hideous box of darkness and demons? I can't believe I don't see threads from the SIN supporters demanding that she be let out. . -.
Even though BOO lost, they got a consolation prize. At the time of the announcement, my skin was still in my inventory and intact. I wondered if my consolation prize was me being able to keep my skin~ I had to leave the computer. When I came back, I saw that the skin turned into dirt with worms. Around the forums people were saying BOO = POO and potato skin! ..Which soon stuck as potatoverseer skin. > < I really hope that term doesn't stick. It's way too long to type out. XD; ...And I've stared and stared at the skin. I still see dirt. XD; I see bits of dirt clumps on it. I do not see buds, eyes, lumpiness... It's not how I'd make a potato. . -. It looks more like how I'd draw dirt~
Anyway, all anyone can talk about is the potatoverseer skin and the original BOO skin. I haven't seen any threads about SIN and the SIN skin. BOO lost, but those members still have a unique soulbound skin.
Whether they really got a consolation prize is in the eyes of the beholder. Some people miss the original skin, others don't care and the rest are even happier with the potatoverseer skin than they were with the BOO skin.
I feel it's a consolation prize. I cannot wear contacts with the skin. I can wear glasses and the zorro mask. I can cover the eyes completely with a striped eyes tattoo. ...which confuses me greatly. I thought contacts layered over the striped eye tattoo so I don't understand how the tattoo can layer above the skin while the contacts don't. I found one contact that layers over it... that big giant eyeball one. u .u; I know people like it, but I never have liked that contact...
I will miss the evilly cute red eyes and tiny little backwings of the original skin. </3
Here's the point I've been making my way to. At the start of the event, we were warned that one side would keep their skin, one side wouldn't. I wondered what would happen if the losers never changed their avatars after the event. They'd "keep" the skins. And since so so many people wouldn't have that skin equipped at the end of the event or wouldn't keep that skin since they'd want to change their avatars... Those who have that skin will become rare. Very rare. More rare than the winners who keep their skin. (At that time, I didn't know that the losers would keep a consolation skin.)
All over the forums, people with the old BOO skin are vowing to not change their avatars. Not since 2004 have we had this situation. Back then we had invisibobs, soot faces and h2k4 zombies. Those people could not change their avatars or they'd lose their specialness. A site wide forced resave turned them all into red x's. Many kept the red x in protest and demanded their old avatars back... but never got them. Come 2005, we got special grombie skins... but those users were able to change their clothing all they wanted.
Any other time users exploit a glitch, like missing an arm or missing default underwear, their avatars get a forced resave. Is keeping the old BOO skin a glitch? Many of the SINners are demanding a site wide resave. They feel that they won. The losers shouldn't get a chance at the more special skin.
I fear a resave since I have an account that hasn't changed in approx. two years. I have not changed her avatar since our bases changed. It's not easy to notice unless you're looking for it, but she has our old noses. ...Back when people debated whether that pixel was a mouth or a nose. XD I miss those debates. I don't know why there was even a debate about it. The pixel was there whether the person had a mouth or not. It was obviously a nose. :B
No matter what, both sides won. Both sides have a soulbound item that anyone joining today will never have. There will be people six months from now making threads about how they were on Gaia since h2k9, but did not know enough about what was going on to get a skin for themself. There will be threads asking that those who were here for the good ol days of h2k9 should rejoice and equip their skins! Both the SIN skins and the POO SIN skins~
11/09/09 started the countdown. I want to know how long people can keep their BOO skins without changing their avatars. zOMG The zOMG Halloween event is still up as of 11/10/09.
On 11/02/09 I destroyed rings. As of 11/10/09 when I'm writing this, I've earned 40 new rings since then. * 3* This event is really raining rings. Some have come from trick or treating in Barton while others have come from the portals. I have enough extra rings so that after a couple weeks of ring swapping, the lowest CL of my rings will be 7.8. I also have a few orbs to fill in the gaps. I guess I don't have an excuse anymore. i should be completing my zOMG quests. :B Edit; MC hint I can't believe I had a note for this and forgot to type it in.

November is known for items that aren't so great. I love the sound of fantasy, medieval and magic. I'm so lost when it comes to guesses. Fantasy has a wide range and calling it classic doesn't help me narrow anything down. XD; To me, classic fantasy is elven ears and... has lots of Final Fantasy elements.
Medieval magic reminds me of Merlin and the Sword in the Stone. Maybe we'll get another owl. XD
