Arien Lakoas '06
][Desert Moon][
Name Pronunciation: Ar-ee-en Lah-ko-ahs Race: Ancient Siren Origin: Unknown Age: 17(Human Years) Hair Style: Straight, Thin, Goes To Waist; Has Pearls Twisted Into Hair Hair Color: Platinum Blonde Eye Color: Stone Grey Skin Tone: Almost Pearl-Colored, But Sometimes Tan(It Depends On RP) Powers(Some Will Be Excluded): Elemental air/sky, comes from Siren lineage, so has an alluring voice, yet her singing could make a being go insane, so she suppresses it despite her love of music. Appearance: Bio: (For When She's A Siren At Misfits)Growing up as a normal child would with her beloved human parents, as she had expected she was as well, Arien had a perfectly fine life. Until a song taken straight from her heart brought about her father's permanent insanity. Her singing had induced a beautiful and melodic trance upon her audience: her parents. Her mother, extremely upset as she was after recovering to see her husband in that condition, she sent the non-human girl away at age 16, only a month or so away from her birthday during summer. The confused and grieving Siren wandered in silence until her birthday came and passed without so much as an acknowledgement of her new age. Yet she knew that she needed to find a school, or otherwise be shunned, not that she didn't feel rejected already. And so, Arien Lakoas stumbled upon a school. A school for oddities such as she was-Misfits University. Personality: A tad bit quiet, but is very kind once she speaks. She is usually always calm and serene and enjoys keeping peace continual. Though compassionate and has a loving nature still within her tormented soul, Arien's sorrowful gaze can at times give away her true emotion.
((Haha, profile change. So, like, Arien v. 2.0 here.))
Quote: Student Profile Sheet Name: Arien Lakoas Age: 17 Year: 1st Powers: Elemental air(wind) & water, comes from mermaid lineage, so has a somewhat alluring voice, and can also breath underwater or grow dark grey fins and be able to swim at an incredible rate. Appearance: (Same) Bio: Growing up near the ocean in an abandoned lighthouse, she would always go out to swim. That was her life. It would probably become her demise. One night, she had been out swimming and became trapped in a cave when the tide came in. It eventually filled with sea water, but instead of drowning, odd holes had erupted from the sides of her throat and even stranger fins grew on her elbows and her legs also melted together, creating another, larger fin the color of her eyes. That was the day she discovered the mermaid blood coursing through her veins and the reason for her placement alone near the sea. From then on, she hardly left the water to resume her human form. Ending up getting captured and soon after escaping from greedy sailors, Arien decided to finally find a place to live where there wasn't a price on her head and where she would be normal, thus she walked onto the land and discovered the University only a few months after traveling. Personality: A tad bit quiet, but is very kind once she speaks. She is usually always calm and serene and enjoys keeping peace continual. Though compassionate and has a loving nature still within her tormented soul, Arien's sorrowful gaze can at times give away her true emotion. Her personality continues to change as the RP goes along. Introduction to Arien's transformation:
Quote: CrimsonRainX CrimsonRainX CrimsonRainX CrimsonRainX Snip... Scriisshh... "No... Stop it! Please!" came an echoing plead. Some more cutting and ripping noises could be heard, along with those of a desperate struggle. Another cry pierced through the darkness and then all went silent. Her eyes opened to an area not much brighter than before-but it must be real now, as far as she could tell. The girl had been suffering through a nightmare: the cruel realistic kind. Picking herself up off of the ground(wherever it was beneath her), she wandered forward-through the dark, seemingly endless... forest? A beam of bright moonlight cut through whatever clouds had been restraining it and the shadowed persona blinked about the dense trees before remembering where she had gone to sleep. The University... Dormitory room number forty-one. How the heck did she get here? Sighing, she began stepping through the damp brush. She had a good enough sense for where things lied on the campus, yet instead of coming to the main buildings and courtyard, she ended up emerging from the woods into a vast asphalt area-a parking lot. Looking to her left, she saw the silhouette of the school, perhaps it was? The girl gave a confused frown, wondering if she had sleep-walked to another area. Something inside told her that it was the same place, though. Thus, she decided to head for that structure. There was a sign right beside the unfamiliar doorway. It was a map of the university campus, and at the top it read "Misfits' University For The Gifted." So it really was the same place... But why the heck did it get changed around so much? As she squinted at the paper, she noted that there didn't seem to be any illustration of a water source. What if she wasn't able to go out in the night and swim again, as she did at the last version of Misfits? The girl decided on going out the next day, when it was light out, to re-familiarize herself with the property-perhaps a lake just wasn't drawn on the map? She would surely check when the sun came out. But for now it was too dark for her to hardly see anything: she moved through the corridors of the new student dorm(the building which she had been lucky enough to find first) while examining the number each door had been labeled by-the evens were on the right side of the hall, and odds on the left. 14, 16... It was still a way to go before she reached 41. The building seemed to be larger than the last. In fact, it was a bit eerie-er than before, as well. The stone that made up the walls gave off a foreboding aura... But it also gave a mysterious sense of protection. The girl couldn't help letting out a soft, "Hermm..." But her thoughts were caught short. She repeated the last noise. Was her voice different..? It didn't seem nearly as melodious as her mer-blood insists. She spoke the next room numbers aloud. "31, 33, 35..... Blah...?" she attempted to sing in question, yet all that came was a dull and simple girl's voice. Almost nothing like her own. Perhaps she had caught a cold? There was sure alot of strange things happening since she had awoken from that terrible dream. The dream where someone had been cutting her hair short. But not just that. They were tearing the long locks out of her scalp. A shiver ran down her spine as she remembered the sensation that mid-slumber idea brought. It felt... so real. ...39, 41. There it was. It was still her room, wasn't it? In spite of all the changes that had been made to the school? She opened the door and noticed that it still didn't appear as if anyone had been living there. So her roommate was still not here. Not that she was complaining... The girl walked over to a dresser that, luckily, had her only belonging still placed on top of it. It was a shopping bag with her few sets of ripped clothing and unsoiled ones. While she was looking for the damp bathing suit she had thought she put in there as well, she was interrupted by a sneeze. Then she remembered: she was in such a hurry that she pulled her top and skirt on over the suit. Shivering a touch, she flipped whatever switches she could find for the lights and went into the bathroom where she discovered the clothing she had on was damaged-already. It appeared to be ripped... "Darn it... Why can't I keep any clothing in-tact in this place?" she asked herself angrily in that unfamiliar voice she had recently gained. She removed the clothing and hung up the damp bathing suit to dry before stepping into the shower. Her hands were scrubbing at her hair and scalp when she noticed something else was different and her heart missed a beat. The girl's dark eyes widened and she let out a shriek. She quickly got out and grabbed a towel, then rushed to the mirror, wiping off all the fog she could in order to see clearly. Her hair... perhaps her dream from the night before was an actual event? She shakily stepped back into the new(but frayed) clothing she had on before. It wasn't such a big deal, though, right? It was just that her whole appearance changed. Completely... Even her eyes seemed a different colour. And her skin was a bit more tan-it actually looked as if she had come from the Mideast instead of from the deepest darkest part of the ocean... It was weird that all that would change, though. What was happening to her? Did this happen to other merpeople, she wondered? She stared back into her reflection-it was as if she were staring at a completely different person she had never met. It was such a strange sight, with having that long almost-white hair and similiarly coloured skin for her whole life. Yet now, her hair just barely touched her shoulders in some places... In fact, it wasn't even near blonde any longer. It was a reddish-brown. And her cut obviously wasn't very even-it was a very poor job, as if someone tore the strands out, hand-full by hand-full by hand-full....
