Twelve years ago…
__A young ten year old Kumori, with brown eyes, stepped out of the Ookami family hut and through the village. He was in simple grey rags and headed past the strange shop on the outline of the village to play on a hill. The shop had only been there a month but it already looked beaten and worn down. An old man ran the shop that seemed nice to everyone, but Kumori’s parents had told him countless times to avoid the shop cause all it had was enchanted items for travelers. The only one he had ever seen was a sword in a black sheath on the wall that was visible when the door was open. Leaving the village Kumori passed a man dressed in white with blue eyes and cold look on his face. The sight of this man made him shiver, yet he past him without a second glance. Once up on the hill Kumori heard screams, forcing him to turn around to see his village in a blaze. The man in white was now with a white wolf jumping from hut to hut. As he felt each hut it exploded into flames. Kumori rushed down the hill and into the shop. He had to stop the man before he got to his house at the other end of the village. The old man was down on the ground and appeared to be unconscious. He jumped up knocking the sword off the wall then bent down to pick it up. Once he had a firm grip on the sword he felt a surge shock through his body. His cloths turned black and his eyes started to glow a fiery yellow. Something grabbed his leg and he turned to see the old man’s hand clinching his pants from the floor.
__“So Kurai has chosen a child as his master,” explained the old man. “Go boy, find the other wolves and unite them once again.” At this the old man collapsed again.
__Kumori dashed out of the shop and ran toward his home. The man in white was laughing historically from inside the hut. As Kumori neared the laughing stopped and all he could hear was the sound of the fire burning away the rest of the village. He stepped through the door to see his parents dead on the ground. Once fully in the hut, the man in white stepped out from behind the door and knocked Kumori in the back of the head with the handle of his sword knocking him to the ground. Kumori rolled over to see the man beaming with glee.
__“Oh what joy,” the man said. “My opponent is but a mere child. This will be an easy kill, and I’ll have yet another wolf to do my bidding.” The man swung his sword to cut Kumori’s head off but Kumori drew his in time to block his attacker. Jumping to his feet Kumori swung back, missing by just inches. The man, angered, swung again shouting. “So you do have some fight in you. Good I wouldn’t want this to be too easy.” When Kumori swung back the man blocked his attack holding their blades together. His shiny silver blade then became covered by a white flame shocking Kumori, causing him to back away. Seeing Kumori’s shock, the man chuckled, “Oh, so new at this, you are. Confused? Why don’t you try something simple like calling you’re wolf? Like this, Akarui!” The white wolf burst through the hut window growling at Kumori, showing its teeth. Kumori froze, immobilized by fear. The man just shook his head, “And here I thought things would get interesting. Akarui, kill him.”
__The wolf lunged at Kumori baring its fangs. Kumori shut is eyes tight and remembered the name the old man in the shop had said. Feeling the paws land on his chest he yelled the name out loud, “Kurai!” A black wolf popped up out of the shadows tackling the white wolf to the ground. Kumori breathed out a sigh of relief then ducked quickly, the man’s blade missing his head by a hair. He slid under the man’s legs and dashed out the door, hurrying away with the man close on his heels.
__“Get back here!” the man hollered, swinging wildly. “You little pest, I’ll kill you.” One of his random slashes caught Kumori’s shoulder.
(to be continued) the prologe and chapter one has been updated, though I don't thing anyone reads this anymore (if anyone ever did) it was just some minor changes, more discriptive, one of the charaters changed. I'm currently working on this chapter as we speak and will post it when ready. this chapter will explain how Kumori got his two wolves
