“Come on!” Delilah cried, her slender hand curled around the younger female’s as they darted in the alley, the walls and floor damp from the earlier rain. The was a clicking of boots running behind the two females, and as they turned a corner, it seemed to stop. The two continued to run, before slowing to a stop, to catch their breath. “Delilah, I don’t want to do this anymore,” Her younger sister cried, weaker than Delilah, but Delilah tried to give her a reassuring look.
“Come on Nina, we have to keep moving!” Delilah cried, urging for her sister to move, but Nina only bent over, her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath. Delilah pulled harder on her sister’s hand, basically dragging her forward, her shoulder soon hitting against something hard and leathery in front of her. Delilah dared to look up, only to meet eyes to glowing eye of the Repo man. His eyes were illuminated behind the mask he wore, a cold and hungry gaze In his eyes, that was something Delilah would never forget.

Delilah stepped back, clinging to her sister then, the man dressed in leather pulled out a plastic sheet. It had Nina’s picture on it, surprisingly she looked a lot like Delilah. It was hard to tell the difference between them on the picture. The Repo man looked at the picture for a hard moment, looking back up at the girls, soon reaching forward and grabbing Delilah by the throat, slamming her hard against the damp metal wall behind them. “No! Don’t touch her!” Nina called, the Repo man, quickly lifting up Delilah’s shirt to look at her stomach, no scars. He grumbled something behind the mask, pushing Delilah back and into a puddle, Delilah gasped as she hit the ground. His attention then turned to Nina, slowly approaching her, but she wouldn’t move.

“Nina! Run!” Delilah gasped form the floor, desperately trying to get to her feet, only to see her sister pressed against the wall. The Repo man quickly lifted Nina’s shirt as well, gazing at the scar, a soft chuckle coming from behind the mask He grabbed a scalpel from his sleeve, Delilah jumped up towards him, beginning to punch and kick against the tall man, but her weak throws seemed ineffective. He roughly pushed Delilah back down into the same puddle, a loud gasp coming from Delilah in pain. And with one swift movement, The Repo man slit Nina’s throat with one swift movement, taking a moment to watch as the blood seeped from the gash and down her body and staining her clothes. Nina gasped for breath, only choking blood, as the Repo man went to work. He cut along her stomach, roughly reaching in before grabbing one of the many slimy organs. He scanned over it briefly, a barcode on the bottom.

Delilah watched in horror as her sister was dissected before her eyes, the Repo man looking to Delilah, before dashing off, Nina’s body falling to the ground. “Nina!” Delilah screamed, unable to comprehend what had just happened. She scampered forward, holding her sister’s body in her arms, the blood staining her own clothes then, as she sobbed into the now cold lifeless body.

That was more than a year ago, and many things have changed since then. Delilah now worked under the same company that had taken her sister’s life away, as an opera singer. Even without surgery, she pale skin and figure seemed perfect already. Ever since that night, she was afraid of Repo men, more than anything else. When She encountered them, even with their masks off, and they approached her in the GeneCo building, she would tremble all over, unable to control her emotions around them.

“Genetic Opera! Is this evening!” The enchanting sounds came from outside the opera hall, people and paparazzi were already showing up, every opera now seemed to be a big thing, even after blind Mag’s death. Delilah stood back stage, her dark black hair cut short, with ribbons and such placed in them, dark makeup over her eyes and lips. Her gown seemed to come straight out of the Venetian era, a deep crimson color. She looked beautiful, and it was all for the opera.

She breathed deeply, preparing herself to go on stage, though the aching in her chest was starting again. Every breath she took filled her body with pain, but now, she couldn’t do anything about it. She put her hand over her mouth, coughing into it, soon looking down, only to see crimson liquid on it. No, it couldn’t happen now, not on stage. There was no going back now, she had to perform, she had to ignore the pain once again. She hoped her voice wouldn’t crack, but even through all the pain, she seemed to sing perfectly.

The lights went dark then, Delilah wiping the blood from her hand before moving on stage, nobody in the audience could see her. The spotlight shined on her then, illuminating her pale skin, as a tune began to play. She opened her lip, a hush yet soft sound coming from her lips, in a completely different language. She didn’t know the language herself, but she practiced it for this song. Her voice could never be like Blind Mag’s, it sounded nothing like hers. Delilah’s voice sounded more of a young girl than and woman thriving in her years. When then song was over, the audience broke out in the cheer, the curtains closing then.

Delilah grabbed her chest, coughing once again, a few drops of blood landing on the ground. She couldn’t do this any longer, she could hardly breath now as it was. She rushed off stage before the curtains opened again, covering her mouth, hoping nobody that worked behind the stage would notice the blood. The only people who knew of her failing lungs were the Genterns and the Largo family… Amber Sweet was bitter against Delilah, jealous that she took part in the opera as well, when she came from poverty, and Amber was practically born in gold.

Thoughts rushed through her mind, she needed to do something, or else she would die even on the stage. Surgery was not an option right now, and neither was Zydrate to relieve the pain. Street Zydrate was also too expensive for her… She then looked up, a bit of hope in her eyes. Though she had only seen it done in movies… what if she were to obtain her own Zydrate?

That evening, stole a needle and a Zydrate gun from the busy Genterns, keeping them for herself and what she was about to do. She wore a tight fitting black shirt and pants to match, soon throwing a large oversized cloak over her with a hood, soon pulling it over her face, so nobody would recognize her. She then snuck her way out of her home in the GeneCo corporation building, making her way to one of the many graveyards. When she approached the gates, she wrinkled the nose, the smell of the dead overwhelming her as she kept steady. She walked passed the gates of the graveyard, looking around curiously, it seemed like nobody was there. She then moved in between graves, seeing a few grave that seemed to already been stolen.

She then stopped at one, hiding behind the tombstone, and looking at the concrete coffin in front of her. She sighed, her fingers trembling some, never in her life had she done something like this. She then pushed roughly on the top, unable to push the concrete coffin open yet, but soon it began to move. Soon enough it was opened far enough to see the body inside. Delilah leaned in, soon throwing her self back, covering her mouth and nose, trying to calm her nerves. She needed to do this, she didn’t want to end up like her sister.

She then leaned back forward, grabbing the body by it’s wrapping and pulling it somewhat out of it’s grave, gazing at it for a hard moment, before reaching into one of the many pockets on the cloak, and pulling out a large needles. She had only seen it on television, the only place they put it was through the nose. She pushed the needle through the nostril of it, trying to pull the other end of the needle, but nothing came out. “Come on you stupid thing, work…” Delilah muttered to herself, soon pushing on the needle harder, feeling the needle puncture something, the feeling making Delilah sick.

She then pulled back on the needle, a blue glow filling it then, an excited smile forming on Delilah’s lips. “It’s.. It’s working!” She said, and soon, the vial was filled. She pulled the vial and put it in her pocket, standing to her feet, and looking in either direction, hoping nobody would see her. She then dashed forward, leaving the body out of the grave.
