This journal post has been created to store entrant information on the contest specified in the title for the December Event 2009. The Event officially ended as of New Years Day at 12:00 am. Thank you to all our participants for making the event so successful!
RICE FOR CHRISTMAS
Santa Claus is a lameface. If he were actually real, then all those starving people in Africa would have food on Christmas, at least! Even though he can’t do it, we can. This is a Free Rice Race! Most people know what Free Rice is, but for those who don’t, basically you answer vocabulary questions. Every question you get right, Free Rice will add 10 grains of rice to your bowl, which then gets donated (in real life) to starving peoples in 3rd world countries. It’s easy, fun, and can be challenging depending on what level you’re on. To enter this contest, play online at http://www.freerice.com/ and take a screen shot when you’re done playing for the time being. Post the screen shot in the thread for everyone to see how lovely you are for playing. I’ll post them here. At the end of the event, I will tally up, based on the screen shots, who will win the BIG first place, Kinda Big Second Place, and everyone else who entered the race will win 10k as well!
