Woke up around 9:30-ish to Russell walking by, after going to sleep at like 4:50 that night. He told me we had to get ready, since Sonja was coming over, and I'd spaced we were taking him to get clothes.
I'm gonna stop right there, because I have some personal stuff to say about this. I honestly didn't really like this idea one bit. It sounded suspicious, and it worried me, because of the face I was sure Sonja still wanted to be with Russell, and it looked like she was going to try anything. I don't understand why Russ won't say anything, and it almost sounded like he was taking advantage of her kindness. The fact that his friends had to go out with him and teach and show him proper business attire worried me to no end, and I was suddenly really mad at his parents too, for growing him to be so inexperienced in things like this, Russell shouldn't have to learn these things from his friends, he should have known about things like this by now. He made a joke later that day saying about how he'll end up calling us to ask things like why his water won't come on and stuff like that, and to me it sounded more like an omen.
Anyway, we slacked for a bit until Sonja actually came over, and while I was taking my sweet a** time getting ready, Sonja watched him play more Resident Evil. She also showed me her story she'd been writing, but I didn't want to read it just yet, I wanted to get comfortable to enjoy it. So, as we were walking out, we didn't have much of a plan of what to do, so I asked if we could go to my house first, cause I knew I smelled, and I hate waking up without a shower and some clean clothes.
So we bussed it to my house, said hello to my dad, and brought Sophia up with us for a little while. To be honest, I was trying to stall and let them hang out here so we wouldn't have to leave right away, but after a while I hopped in the shower while they played video games, and when I got out, they were playing Mario Party, so I helped Sonja do the mini-games, since it wasn't fair to her since Russell wouldn't have gone easy on her. She ended up getting 2nd place, which wasn't too bad, considering Russell was ruthless. After I took my sweet a** time getting ready again, we were off to the stores.
We had decided on the way there to go to Target, and on the way I passed to get a drink, there's this little store near the Supercuts that I wanted them to see, cause in the back they sell porn and japanese swords and s**t. But not only did they have that, they had like 4 shelves full of bongs. So after tons of strange looks and stink eyes from the guy who worked there, we left laughing at the stuff inside and went to Target.
There wasn't a lot of fooling around in the store, because we knew we'd get distracted, so we went straight to the Men's section, and started picking out collared shirts and stuff. I know women are usually more responsible and on top of things when it comes to stuff like this, but for Sonja to know more about business attire and things like that than Russell, made my heart sink. We basically guided him through everthing, and the only stuff we didn't get him was like a jacket or some underwear. He reluctantly had to give his opinion on everything and go try it on, but he looked nice in stuff, but it was ridiculous telling him there were certain ways to wear things, like tucking your shirt in for once.
Then we had shoes, which is a whole other ordeal, but was a lot easier, but guiding him got kind of annoying after a while, so I stopped. When we were finally done, Sonja went into a place that I'm not going to say cause it's rude, but she ended up coming out empty-handed because of Russell.
Then we moseyed over to electronics, and farted around, chasing each other and looking at CD's. When we finally got to checkout, me and Russell spotted Now Hiring stickers outside, and went in to apply. Sonja was hungry, but said it was alright if we did it, but I could tell as we were going she was not liking us anymore. We finished, and I opened my fat mouth listing restaurants and spouted out that we were close to an Olive Garden, forgetting it's like mega expensive. Sonja said she would cover us, and I'll admit I wanted to go, but not on her behalf, I only had like $10 left.
We got seated and kept debating over getting an appetizer, when Sonja spotted this like Italian Cheese Fondue. We got it with our salad and breadsticks, and let's just say the plate was wiped clean, I don't think they had to wash it, we almost ended up fighting over it. It was good, and we've made a mental note to never eat that in front of Sonja, she almost had an orgasm over it, I'm definetly getting that next time I go there. We had some little inside joke about needing to eat bread to stretch properly, and also the waitress learned fast I drink alot at restaurants, and ended up bring like two glasses of tea from then on, and I wanted to hug for that, she's the first one to ever take a hint that you'll save time instead of having to get me another drink whenever you check on us. She even remembered the frozen peaches I liked so much.
It didn't even seem like we would have room for our main meal, but I figured I'd do the right thing and swallow my pride, and the food since Sonja paid so much for it. I ended up being the only one to finish mine, eating like my parents never fed me, which is like the understatement of the century, while Sonja and Russell suffered through theirs. They were amazed at how I could stand to go through it, and even when Sonja wanted dessert just because it was Chocolate, I ended up helping them with that too. They thought I was going to die, and so did I at first, but I kept going at it, and they almost clapped for me.
I called the house to tell them I'd be a bit late coming home, and we stopped at Gameworld before we left for my house. Their selection had really gone down the tube, but at least Sonja found some stuff she wanted, so it wasn't a waste of time. We got home, hung out with Sophia again while Kelly was busy working, and then we watched "The 40-Year-Old Virgin". I'd forgotten how long that movie was, and this was the Extended Version, so it had more scenes. By the time it was over, they definetly had to get home, so I hugged them good-bye and walked them to the door.
I sat upstairs and just thought for a while about the whole ordeal. This day bugged me, and I was just thinking about one of the questions I got asked in the Target application, how it wanted me to rate how satisfied I was with my life compared to my friends. I was more concerned about how satisfied I could make other's lives.
