CHAPTER? LOST BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN [story by Bryan edited by Kie]

"Argh... No! I wont let you have her not until this war ends, not until she picks a side," Aora scoffed. "no matter how many times you strike me Twilight, you can never break the bond of the three of us, of true friends!" said Aora as his words filled the army of Twilights with laughter.

"Ah, so you think... but I shall show you the truth, right now as you speak. Your friend is deep in her consciousness. Now let us see what she does when I let her mind freely roam; observe as she obeys the call of pure power... Emora, destroy Aora and let his soul die slowly so that he realizes his errors in trying to teach you the power of light." announced Twilight.

When the echoes of Twilight's words died, Emura suddenly summoned her sword and charged towards Aora. With all her might, she slashed vigorously, but always thwarted by Aora's blade. He gave a smirk and said, "do you really think you have full control over my friend you may have her under you spell? But this is as far as I, the warrior of Light, will let you come!" He paused. "On the contrary, I have not yet cast my spell on her. I am merely allowing her the freedom to do as she pleases, for you threw her and Itura aside for your own power! You are just as vile as me, maybe even worse."

At these words, Emora suddenly gained the eyes of a demon and the wing of a fallen angel. "Aora, I shall put you through the most agonizing pain equal of my shattered heart!" Emora said while sounding like the mixed voices of herself and Itura.

Aora struggled with blocking her attacks that he himself was convinced that this was the real Emora. At a loss of words, he slashed at Emora's sword and sent her flying towards the wall behind her. With the little time, he had he yelled to Emora. "Strike me for I have caused you pain and suffering; for that I deserve none other than death! But if you can see it in your heart, please forgive me and know that I have always treated you as though you were more than a friend!"

Emora, with tears trickling down her cheeks, attacked Aora at his heart and his face. His chest healed itself but released his heart and soul into the endless night. In the few moments that the sun was rising, his face where Emora had struck emanated a soft white light. As soon as she had done the deed, that her heart desired, she awoke from her self-consciousness. She let out a whimper and she stopped breathing. Until all of the sudden, it started to rain. But this rain was different, dark blue raindrops sparkled against the sunrise.

Emora looked up and found Aora standing in the midst of the rain. He smiled and walked towards her and said, "Emora, I'm trusting you to help Itura in his work; keep learning the powers of light and dark and never lose hope. I'll be back before you know it." He said softly with his hand on her cheek and dissolved in the rain.

She had lost too much too fast that she swore she would have revenge on Twilight, even if it was the last thing she will do.

Realizing that the god was still there, she charged at Twilight and managed landing a hit once or twice out of several slashes. With her entire life almost gone, and her oldest friend dead, she was burning with sorrow and rage. All she wanted that moment was to kill him and after that, find a way to bring her friends back before anyone else did.

"You are weak but strong all the same. I shall enjoy bending this anger to my disposal, but for now I must assist my counterpart to dispose your other friend." He said and then vanished, much to her dismay. Once again, she stood there, hoping that this was just a bad dream. She hoped that Aora had not died and that Itura eliminated Dawn. Slowly, she walked toward Aora's body and kneeled next to him and took his sword. She placed it over his body and put a silver ring on top of it.

The girl felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned and saw Itura standing and was covered head to toe in gashes, open wounds and bloody bits of stone in his skin. He looked awful, his shirt was tattered, his armor almost completly blasted off but he bore a smile on his face that was always after a battle. He asked her, "what did I miss? Where's Aora?" He was completely unaware of his friend's body lying on the ground merely several feet away from him.

She started to cry once more at the sound of his name. At first, Itura thought that he hurt her but then he heard Emora say in a whisper, "Aora is dead.... he was the last living warrior of Light and I let him die!" she could hardly bare the thought that she killed him.

Itura once swore never to reveal his emotions but even him couldn't stare at Aora's body without letting a tear trickle down his face. All he could say was, "Emora, don't sweat it. It wasn't your fault you couldn't do anything."

Those words were lies. She knew that she could've spared him but she only looked into her friend's eyes. "I'm sorry.... I killed Aora. I'm the reason he's lying there dead but I swear by my own soul I will bring him back!" She said at him.

Itura showed his respect by bowing low at her. "I will help you find a way to retrieve our friend and I will train you in case the path is too rough and difficult. But for now," he paused "we shall bury his body and may he rest in peace."

The next day, Itura have made a hole deep enough for burying Aora's body. "Now it is time we say our farewells..." He said. His friend's head was still radiating that white light. Both Itura and Emora were standing under the tree where Aora trained her. He took out Aora's sword and said, "farewell Aora, almighty angel, guardian of the ever-burning light. Even though your body is gone, your memories, soul and heart are still with the ones you cared for. We shall always remember and cherish your fate as that of a hero's above all the others. May your death symbolize the birth of something even greater than us all. Farewell my old friend." Itura said as he struck the solid earth in front of his grave therefore allowing his sword to stand freely.
