Tohru Fujishima

Tohru was once an ace pilot up until four years ago. Involved in a freak accident he is in a semi vegetative state. He is able to answer simple questions and function with the mentality of a six year old child. However one he is hooked inside his Gundam he becomes a fully functional human. It is rumored among staff where he is located that his subconsciousness is some how locked in the suit's memory banks. A similar incident was reported quietly by a one Yu Kajima nearly two years before Tohru's accident.He is the subject of study among medical professionals and mobile suit designers alike. Tohru, when in the Gundam that houses his "other self" is able to take control of any and all unmanned suits nearby, making him a highly effective asset on the battle field. As long as the suits are programmed to him and they are from his own base.Outside of the suit his norm housing is that of a closely monitored medical room. He is allowed a television and provisions of that of a six year old child. He has slowly shown improvement however the longer he stays in his suit the more of himself he regains. His mental ability would probably be about 12 years old in a years span.
On personal history....
Tohru Fujishima was born into a family of six. He was a middle child of a prominent mobile suit engineer. In his early childhood he developed faster then his older siblings had. Walking at seven months, and talking at a year he was a very bright child. At the age of a year and a half he already possessed a second grade reading level. At the age of four years old he started primary school in the first grade. By the time he was eleven he was a junior in high school; Graduating at the age of twelve he moved on to attend the same college his father had.
After being rewarded a masters degree in mechanical engineering he then joined the mobile suit corps at the age of 18, after having successfully designed over 12 working mobile suits. He served in the corps as leader of the Tenshi no Uta squadron until his unfortunate accident.
Present time....
Tohru has yet to be "reawakened"fully to the person that is trapped inside his suit. Formerly engaged he is again single and is no longer acting captain of his squad. He will sleep until called upon, while sleeping his brain patterns are monitored and mapped out.
