"oh where the road of life may take us, and we shall stand together side by side, a family united, not by blood, but by the moon"
onto him through a stab wound from a sharp weapon of innocence, the shadows pulling them away, pulled the wounds on Isaiah apart. Gashes all over his body, and screaming in pain, he fell to the ground. Addie in turn, screamed at the sight of his body almost being pulled apart, slash by unclean slash. She wanted to crawl over to him, but her legs would just not move.

She could see from her position, his eyes beginning to gloss over.

"ISAIAH!!" She practically lost control, not being able to do anything. 'Why...Why am I so helpless at a time like this!?' she yelled to herself. The tears began to fall down her face, without any stop in the near future. 'I need to do something! MOVE LEGS! DO SOMETHING!!'

She didn't know it but she called out to the Noah inside her, and the shadows that had been consuming any of the exorcists coming close to her, consumed her as well and she suck into a large puddle of darkness underneath her.

The remaining exorcists looked shocked for a moment, before she began to crawl out of the same hole, completely different. Her voice was deep as she screamed out, almost as if there were more than one people talking through her lips. "GET AWAY FROM ISAIAH!"

Shadows covered her body in a sort of armor, and wings outstretched, broken in places, yet still capable of flight, she used them to rush forward, and take out the remainder of the exorcists. All of them cut apart, slashed open just as Isaiah had been. When all of them were gone, she turned to any human bystanders.

The streets were soon covered in blood. The blood of exorcists. The blood of adults, and children. The blood of a Noah.

She was on her way to kill another small child, one that was clinging to it's mother's body, by now having lost her mind, she grabbed at the little one's arm, pulling on it, when Isaiah gasped for breath, and she flew over to him, picking up the remaining parts of his body.

His arm, badly slashed, was barely attached to his body, and his usually pure black blazer was drenched in red from his blood, where the gashes had torn at his body. She didn't dare to look at his chest, knowing that all the open wounds were probably exposing a whole lot more than there was supposed to be outside his body.

"Isaiah..Isaiah please...no.." She cried.

He only coughed, and gave a bleak smile, trying to comfort the only friend, technically girlfriend, there. He tried to lift his arm, but found that he no longer could move a body part that was barely attached anymore. "...Addie...."

Just as he spoke, Jacob came running towards them, a tad late to help with the situation, Gil following close by. He took Isaiah from Addie, and she stepped back, the shadows disappearing away, and replacing her with the old clothes she wore. Turning, she fell into Gil's arms, because she couldn't keep steady again.

jacob and gil had moved as fast as they could to join addie and izzy, but they were on the other side of town when the exorcists had begun their attack. blood trickled down the steps as they ran up flight after flight, finally finding the ruby hall that held their loved ones.

jacob had been in a panic as they ran. he could feel something was wrong with his brother. he felt izzy slipping away, and with his brother he felt himself slipping too. jacob couldn't move faster as he saw his brother on the ground with a shadow covered addie crying over him.

jacob took his brother from addie gently, but there was nothing he could do now. he couldn't fix his brother who, gasping for air now, could say no words. jacob's eyes filled with tears and he tried, desperatly, to build a wall in his mind to protect him from what he knew was about to come.

"jacob....you can't stop this....i am dying....i don't have long....please don't fight me off...please just let me see the real you one more time..." isaiah's thoughts spoke gently in jacob's head. jacob was scared and he knew he couldn't stand to lose his brother before he had a chance to apologize for everything.

jacob consented and he dropped every barrier in his mind, letting him and izzy become one for the first time in a long while, and even more so, for the first time he was totally exposed. every secret, every memory, every feeling he'd ever had isaiah could feel and see now too. he was able to understand what had happened to jacob ten years ago and he was able to feel the love he felt for both himself and addie.

"jacob...i'm sorry i hurt you....i love you...and i love addie...please tell her for me...." his eyes closed as he lost the strength to keep them open. jacob had totally lost sense of himself and hadn't noticed that he'd combined forms with isaiah somehow through their bond. jaizaiah stood up slowly and looked at addie. jacob's tears streaming down his cheeks.

"addie" their combined voices said together "you know i love you....and i'm sorry i couldn't tell you everything myself. i was jealous, your right....but i do love you addie...."

jaizaiah started to split and fall back into two beings, or more accurately, one being and one corpse. izzy's lifeless body lay torn and mangled on the ground, covered in his own crystallizing blood. jacob sat holding izzy's head in his lap trying to stop the tears, the pain, the emptiness he felt.

his sobs were quiet, but compared to the lullled hallway, void of all life but the small trio, they seemed to echo on, growing louder and louder with each passing second. gil held addie, trying to support her on her own two feet, but also trying to comfort the girl who suddenly seemed like a small child again.

With the two of his 'children' falling apart at the seams gil didn't know what to do. he set addie down gently with jacob, next to izzy's body. he walked quietly out into the stairwell and pulled out his phone. he hadn't noticed that the loss of a noah brother had caused he himself to start crying.

he called the house and nuri answered the phone. he told nuri what had happened and nuri said he'd be with them soon. gil walked back through the door to where jacob and addie were still crying. he saw casius in a doorway to his own hotel room and he looked at him with unsure eyes.

gil still hated casius but he was more concerned about addie and jacob and what to do with izzy's body. gil realized that this was the first time jacob had gone through losing a noah sibling since he had been gone when the others had been killed. gil couldn't afford to deal with casius right now, especially not when more exorcists could be on the way and he needed to protect his family.

Nuri was faster to arrive than Gil and Jacob had been. He'd called the Earl as well, being informed of what had happened. Standing above the three, Jacob and Addie laying over the body that once belonged to their sibling, his tears dripped down from his face as well.

"Damnit........We're going to need to move him as soon as possible." He said monotonously.

He knew the other two who were still living would protest, but he pushed past them, as delicately as he could of course, to get to the already cold body that lay in between them. "It's best if we get moving...we can't afford to lose anyone else..." He said, holding the body closely so that it wouldn't fall apart in his arms.

Nuri, who had caught sight of Casius standing in the doorway, continued moving as quickly as he could hoping the Earl would open a portal through the arc pretty soon.

Addie couldn't stop panicking and crying, feeling as if it were all her fault that this had happened. The thoughts that 'If I hadn't been here he wouldn't have come looking for me' and 'And if I hadn't attacked while he was surrounded by the exorcists, he wouldn't have been slashed open' kept running through her head, and then his last words, completely broke her, she kneeled face down on the floor, her face in her hands, crying uncontrollably.

Gil felt bad for what was going on, and he looked past his pride, Nuri was right, they needed to move now. "...Casius....do you have any room for us at the moment...?"

Casius, who was still standing in shock, nodded quickly, willing to help his brother right away with anything. He stepped aside, as Gil walked past, having picked up a hysterical Addie, and put her on the couch inside the apartment. He walked back out and stared at Jacob, sadly and quietly, he kneeled in front of him, giving him a bit of a nudge, a hint for him to stand up and move over to the inside. "Come on..."

Nuri, who was already rushing down the stairs of the building, wasn't invited to come in of course, but by then, the Earl had opened a portal in the arc, for him to hurry and get inside. Now the hall was empty, minus the other bodies and the blood splattered walls of course.

As the door was shut, and the crying filled the walls of the home on the 5th floor of the building, and Casius, stood in the back, watching quietly, as Gil made his way to the two, trying to console them into stopping their wailing.

".....Casius do you have water...?" He was trying to be as quiet at the moment as possible, being careful with what he said. "Jacob...Addie.. .I'm sorry..I'm so sorry...There's no replacing a family member.. .none..."

He could feel the sadness emanating from the two, and he couldn't help but pull them both into a hug and hold them tightly, as a father would.

jacob had gotten up on his own two feet and walked into casius's apartment of his own accord. he wasn't strong enough mentally to bother trying to oppose gil or rebel against his wishes, despite their fight earlier.

he had walked into the room and over to a floor length window that let the bright light shine in on them all. tears still streamed down his face but his sobs had lessened a bit as he started rebuilding his barriers. he'd let his brother into his mind more than he'd ever done before and now he felt lonlier than he'd ever thought possible.

'it was just for a few moments....how could i feel so empty....he was just here....he was so close...how could i have let him go...why didn't i fight harder...we are supposed to be able to make things happen...why didn't i think to try to heal him or something....why didn't i save him....why didn't i try' jacob kept wondering to himself as he shut himself down. he sat on the floor listening to addie cry.

casius had gotten water for all three of his guests. he held a tray as he let gil offer it to addie and he watched as gil acted with such tenderness, trying to calm his daughter, making sure she was settling down a bit. he looked over at the white haired boy who seemed to be fixated on something he couldn't see outside the window. the boy had a dead look to his eyes, as if he saw beyond what was there and into nothingness.

ada had the girls help pack their belongings and everyone Else's as the earl had instructed her. tears poured from her eyes as she felt the loss of one of the noahs. she knew it wasn't gil because her heart felt intact, but no one had told her who it was yet. she was about to go into jacob and izzy's room, while the girls packed their own toys and such, when a portal opened just inside the door to the house. nuri stepped out holding a bloody izzy and ada realized immediately that things were going to be shaky within the family.

"quietly...lets not let the little ones see" she whispered and led the way down the hall. once inside jacob and izzy's room she shut and locked the door, watching as nuri walked to place the boy on his bed.
"....how bad are they?" she asked, knowing nuri would know she meant jacob and addie. she didn't bother asking what happened since at the moment it was irrelevant.

she started packing some of jacob's things as she waited for nuri to share what he could. she stopped at the flower on jaocb's desk and she carefully placed it with the other things, making sure not to crush the delicate petals.

Nuri gave a low sigh, pulling out his pone and texting Gil as fast as he could, telling him that he'd gotten home with Isaiah's body. Not facing Ada, he tried to speak to her through the concentration he had on what he was typing. "......Jacob and Addie are taking it really hard. I wasn't there for too long, but It was a bad scene.....really bad.."

Just as he pushed 'send' on the phone, there was a knock on the door, and as Ada packed it, he took a peek to see who it was, not too much incase it was one of the girls. It was the Earl in his human form. He stepped aside, and the Earl walked in, promptly shutting the door, and 'tutting' at the scene. Because he was the first Noah, he could feel all the heartbreak coming from both Addie and Jacob. The tears from the initial reaction of the Noah had stopped flowing by now and he was all business as he spoke.

"Alright...I'm sorry Nuri, but we're going to have to move his body once again. Finish gathering up the rest of everyone's things Ada, there's a home on the other side of town that I've taken upon my self to buy in the last few weeks, we'll open a door to the ark, and move there. If they found Addie and Isaiah that easily, then Iku must've told where we live as well."

Nuri nodded in response and as did Ada. Picking up the body once again, and walking into a portal of the ark that the Earl opened up. He quickly gathered the two little girls, Merri and Arisa, and their mother, and soon enough had them going through the portal to the new home as well. The message would be sent to the others as soon as possible, their grief not letting the Earl communicate to the rest of the Noah at the moment.

In the apartment that said exorcists were in, it had quieted down. Addie had stopped crying, and Gil had stepped over into the back of the room, where he could still keep an eye on the both of them, and answer the textx he was getting from Nuri. They couldn't send texts about the new home incase the phone lines were being listened in on since the recent fight.

Addie was quiet now just as Jacob was, and she stared at the ground quietly. For a while she didn't say anything, before she whispered quietly."....I'm...sorry....Isaiah....I'm so sorry.."

Her eyes were welling up again, as she pulled her knees up onto the seat she was sitting at, and buried her head in her legs. She turned her gaze to look over to Jacob, who was still staring out the window. It was her fault for remembering, that his brother was dead. Alot of her old personality had come back on the night before, and she felt the need to comfort her brother, though she really couldn't remember much about him still.

Kneeling down onto the floor she crawled over to Jacob and gave him a silent hug. She didn't care if he pushed her away at the moment, he'd be right to, it was her fault after all, but she tried anyhow. "I'm sorry Jack...."

Soon though, the quiet died down, as there was a heavy knock on the door. "Does a....Casius [we need a last name] live here? Were are part of the Dark Order, and we're doing an investigation on all the nearby apartments. Is anyone home?"

jacob was shut off as addie crossed the room and wrapped her arms about him tenderly. for a brief second he felt like he recognized her, as if he knew who she was. he didn't push her away, but whats worse was his total lack of reaction to it. his mind sent up too many walls to block everything out that he couldn't react to much of anything at this point.

when the knock came on the door he remained unaffected. normally his emotions would send him on a raging fit and he'd try to burst past gil and get to the exorcists to kill them. Gil was waiting for it and tensed as the knock rapped lightly but he stood unsure of what to do when jacob didn't even lift his head. he looked to casius to see if they should move to another room.

casius cracked the door a bit but kept the chain lock on it. he spoke to the exorcists in hushed tones, sounding petrified. "...l-let me see your badges....." the exorcists showed him their crests. "wh-what do you want?...."

"we want to know if you have any idea what happened out here sir. there was a blood bath and almost all of the residence on this floor have been killed. we believe it is the work of the noah clan or some akuma"

"there was a fight...exorcists...they attacked these....kids...they were young..." he made his voice quiver as though he was reliving a nightmare as he told his tale. "one of them got away fast...the other could still be on the floor somewhere.....you need to find him before i leave this room...i won't be killed too" he closed the door quickly and silence filled the room as he and gil listened intently for the exorcists response.

"spread out and search for the noah. you two stay here and guard his door" the exorcists began moving about and gil and casius moved from the front room to the bedroom where they wouldn't be heard.

"i've bought you some time but not much....gilbert i know it doens't make up for what i've done, but it should help you to save your daughter and to save that boy...you can get out of here through the fire escape" casius said in hushed tones

"casius if they see us they will know you helped us and they will take you in to custody or kill you...you know that don't you?"

"gil i have known for a long while that you are a noah...it isn't going to change the fact you are family...and i have a lot to atone for so if they take me in then they do...you need to protect them now....you need to find ada and be with her....so go..."

"Come with us!" Addie pleaded, she looked to Gil, asking for permission.

Gil was silent for a moment, but shook his head, "If he comes with us, the exorcists will know that he was helping us out..."

"They'll know either way...there're cameras they can look to." She argued, "He helped me out a long time ago...I'm not going to abandon him here." She muttered. Attempting to stand up, she wobbled for a moment, before getting the function of her legs again.

Now that they were calm, the Earl was able to speak to them through their connections, and he talked to Gil and Addie, seeing as Jacob was blocking everything out. 'Finally...we've moved locations, Gil, the new home is across town, farther away from the old mansion. We need you to destroy the one we just left so that proof of us living there won't exist. Leave where ever you are, and bring Addie and Jacob-pet along with you'

"Come on Casius....You're coming along as well." Gil muttered, he knew he needed to get out of here, and the more that Addie argued, the longer they'd be in this situation.

Casius gave a quick nod, and walked over quickly, opening the window for them. He wasn't about to argue either, understanding that they just needed to get out of this place now.

"Come on..." Addie spoke softly to Jacob, nudging him to stand up and follow.

Soon enough, though slowly and quietly, they'd ninja'd themselves out of the building, down the fire escape, and past any exorcists, who were immediately sucked into Addie's shadows as they snuck past them.

Little did they know that Iku was standing on the building's rooftop, beside her Charles was there as well, watching them all try to sneak away. "Do we go after them...?"

"No....They'll run and lead us to where they need to....we'll use that knowledge to our advantage later.

jacob followed the group through town quietly. he was still lost to his mind and he couldn't hear the earl. they made it to the house and gil prepared to set the home ablaze. jacob became slightly more aware. he realized they weren't in the hotel anymore.

"...gil?" he sounded confused as recognition slowly came to him. "we....are going to destroy the house?" he asked understanding slowly what was going on. gil looked at jacob for a long moment, trying to find jacob in the empty shell's eyes.

"yes jacob....the earl asked me to destroy it. ada and the girls already got everything we need from the house and i am sure she got the orchid, don't worry." gil tried to sound sure and calm as he waited to see if jacob would return to them.

jacob's hands flared up, shooting flames up his arms. he looked up and waited for permission to be the one to destroy the home. he needed to release everything he was feeling and this was the best way he knew how. gil nodded and in a split second jacob had the whole house ablaze. jacob's power seared and the flames danced and bent flying all over, catching the houses next to it and the ones next to those as well.

gil stood back and let jacob do what he needed to. addie was closer to jacob, waiting in case she was needed. casius took a step back, amazed at the power coming from the flames. after a short while the house was nothing but burning cinders. Nuri arrived and waited for jacob and addie to be ready to move again. he looked to gil for him to get the two kids moving.

The two exorcists watched as the surrounding houses and the one they had intentionally lit on fire, all go ablaze. "Damnit...."

Though obviously some families were lost in this blaze, they had to continue following them, if they found all the Noahs at once, then they would be able to get them all at once. So they continued on, following the enemy, and trying to ignore the obvious small disaster they had caused.

Nuri, who was walking ahead of everyone, finally showed them to the new home, the walk having been long and hard for Addie, who was now riding on Gil's back, and Jacob, though he had barely noticed any of the turns and shortcuts they had taken. They were now very far from the familiar that they used to know. The old mansion was left far far behind, along with the building they'd just torched, and Casius' apartment, but hopefully this would lead to something better.

The home was a bit nicer than the last, but it was nothing like the old mansion. Merri and Arisa ran out to greet the new arrivals, followed by Ada, who ushered them all inside with a scolding.

Then after a long while, they all sat in total silence, with the exception of the kids in another room, as they thought of what to do next. Gil and Nuri, and Ada were all business now, Addie and Jacob sat around, the difference that the latter had a blank expression and the former, a false smile on her face.

"We'll...bury him first of course...then we'll find a way to get back to normalcy." Nuri mumbled, Gil and Ada nodded in return.

"What about Casius...?" It was then that they all looked to the lone regular human sitting along with the rest of them.

jacob sat in oblivion. the little girls laughter rang in his ears and he tried to recognize them but he couldn't escape himself at the moment. he sat undoing and retieing his boot laces. addie was trying to get through to him but nothing was working for the moment.

ada looked out at casius and then took gil's hand in her own and lay her head on his shoulder. she was content with the temporary agreement to get along they boys had. "maybe...we should just let him stay here...he can watch the girls when we put our plans into action" she offered and waited to see how gil would react.

arisa and merri got hungry as they played in their new home and they left their room to get a snack. they saw jacob and addie sitting in thel iving room and arisa walked up to them. "...how so sad jackers??" she asked trying to get a good look at his face. when he didn't answer she looked back at addie.

"...i don't like him when he acts like this....he's more like cousin izzy" she said, not realizing what had happened. she thought addie would join in her teasing of the older noah boy, but this addie wasn't the addie she'd known to be cruel and harsh. when neither of them responded how she wanted she rolled her eyes and took merri's hand again, walking to the kitchen.

Bellisari was in a delivery uniform. she walked up the steps of the new noah home and knocked lightly on the door. Arisa, rushing to beat the adults opened the door excitedly. "hello!" she said cheerily, taking the exorcist by surprise. Bell recognized the young little girl as human. "h-hello little girl....i-is your mommy or daddy home?" she asked trying to regain her composure.

"umm...i'm not supposed to let anyone in...so wai-" casius appeared behind the little girl and smiled down at her. he nodded his head back and arisa ran, giggling, back to merri in the kitchen. "how can i help you miss?" he asked calmly and in a friendly manner. he had no idea she was an exorcist, no one would have. "i'm looking for 2347 Berkley Court, i can't seem to find the house sir" she offered as her excuse.

casius told her how to find the home and he watched as she descended from the stairwell. when he closed the door and turned around ada had her arms around the little girls with a worried look on her face and gil was next to her with his arm about her waist. "just a lost delivery girl...no need to fret" he offered trying to help them relax.

Addie was too preoccupied with trying to help Jacob, that she hadn't noticed the knock on the door. She knelt down quietly, and took his hands away from his shoes, pulling him up. "Come on, I'll make you some hot chocolate..."

She was broken from Isaiah's death as well, but she had inherited the 'act strong in front of other's' trait from her father, and pulling Jacob along would have to come before her own breakdown.

She gave the girls a weak smile, after they had run back into the kitchen, and pulled out the ingredients for the hot chocolate, offering to make them some as well. With Merri and Arisa helping, the task got finished quicker, and Addie placed a cup of hot chocolate in front of all them, then stepped out of the room to give all the older people a cup as well.

"..Addie's being nice! It's weeeeiiirrdd!" Merri commented, taking a marshmallow from Jacob's hot chocolate, seeing as he was blank at the moment.

Arisa nodded, taking a sip from the cup given to her a little large, making her look especially small, adding a bit of cuteness to her attempt of looking grown up. "But Jacob is being different too! I wonder where cousin Isaiah is..." She mumbled. She could feel that something was wrong, and she was smart enough to tell that her feelings were right. "MERRI! We gotta do something to cheer everyone up! They're being boring!"

Merri, always agreeing with her sister, jumped at the idea, finishing her hot chocolate quickly. "We've gotta make plans!" She yelled, pulling her sister off her stool, and out of the room, sticking her tongue out at Jacob as they left.

When Addie came back, she found Jacob alone, and she sat in front of him, watching him closely. "....Ada brought along his flute....I think you should have it..." She said, trying to get him to say anything at all, to snap out of the blankness he was in.

She sat quietly for a moment once again, before thinking to herself, '...I have to try my best to finish this war....we need to finish it...if we can finish this fast....I won't have to lose anyone else...Isaiah..." She stood up, and marched over to the other room, a plan set in mind.

"I want to go in...Ada will change my appearance, and I'll destroy the order from the inside out."

Nuri and Casius had nothing to say, but Gil obviously disapproved the the plan from the start. "No way..what if you get caught? I'm not losing my daughter again. You're not doing that."

"I won't..I won't get caught. Ada's going to change me. And if I need to I'll call you guys. There's only one way to get the upper hands against the exorcists right now, and it's to destroy that...machine..or whatever, that is hurting the akuma and us. "

There was silence as they all thought about it. The Earl was first to speak up. "Alright Addie my dear....but it'll take a few weeks....to plan out everything..to get an exorcist uniform..and to plan out how you'll blend in..."

"I can't believe this.." Gil sighed, though Ada hugged him to try to calm him down.

"Dad....I'm not going to let any of us die...not anymore...not after Isaiah...Ada...Mom, needs you, not to mention Merri and Arisa need her. Nuri is in charge of the security, and Jack is....not entirely with us...I'm the only option."

Gil sighed even more, it appeared that was all he was doing lately, and sadly enough, though he didn't want to admit it, she was right. He nodded, and Addie left the room, to plan for herself what she needed to do. Nuri followed, catching up to her in the kitchen, where Jacob still sat, quiet, and blank, and he pulled her to the side, knowing Jacob was too out of it at the moment to notice.

"...Addie...you're acting different...you called Gil Dad...You're being...nice...no offense but...Did you..?"

"...I remember enough to get by...I remember my family means alot to me...and even if I can't remember any of my time spent with them...I know I need to protect them." She replied, taking Jacob's cup from him, and putting it in the sink. "....That's not important right now though...Jacob needs me, and you and Dad, and Ada, need me...and I need to protect the ones I love...because I couldn't do that for Isaiah.."

Nuri stood there for a moment, deciding not to say anything more about it, "...We should get the plan going then. Welcome back Addie."

gil held ada close and after a few moments of consideration he turned to the earl. "sir...i have a request....please...before addie goes on this mission...before we move to our final attack....please....would you marry ada and i, with our whole family here....i know we should wait until after...the funeral...but i want to be wed to her before....before we risk losing anyone else"

gil looked the earl in the eye, the silence that followed his request made a lump grow in his throat as he feared the earl might deny his request. after a moment that seemed to last an eternity the earl sighed into a pleasant laugh. "haha oh gilbert....if you want to marry you need not have my permission to do so, but i would like to be the master of ceremonies so i agree...besides this may help to lighten the dark events that have fallen over our family" the earl answered looking to the kitchen where jacob sat staring at his cup of hot chocolate as though the glass were empty.

ada suddenly threw her arms around both the earl and gil at once. she hadn't smiled like this in a very very long time and she was full of excitement like she had been when she was a young girl, dating the love of her life, before sorrow had overcome her being. "thank you....thank you both" she said and after a moment of holding them in her embrace she released them and walked quickly to tell addie the news and to ask her daughter to be her maid of honor for the ceremony.

gil smiled in thanks to the earl and then looked in to see jacob pushing his chair out from the table, leaving the cooling beverage where it sat. he started walking up a back stairwell and he climbed up to the roof, sitting on the slanted tiles that covered the home. he looked out at the setting sun. a few stars began showing in the distant but approaching twilight. gil had followed jacob and he stood in the window jacob had climbed through to get to his seat.

"jacob....come inside...you shouldn't be up there...you could fall and get hurt" he said gently, trying to get the boy inside the house, afraid jacob might try jumping.

"..." jacob didn't move or react and gil thought they might lose him forever if they didn't get him back soon. "jacob please....you have to know this isn't your fault....there isn't anything you coul-"
"SHUT UP!" jacob's words were meant to sting gil, but the calmer older gentleman knew it was just jacob's hurt talking now. he was happy to have any kind of emotional reaction from him at last.

"jacob..."
"NO!...no! i could have saved him...we are supposed to defy possibility...we are the noah of bonds! we are supposed to be one, think as one, and what we want is supposed to be realized! i wanted to save him!...i should have wanted to save him...i should hav-"
"jacob don't talk like that...you loved your brother...he knows you do...even if you had thought of it it may not be what was running through izzy's mind at the time...i'm pretty sure living in this life was hurting him jacob"
"are you saying he was too weak to want to continue living?! HE IS MY BROTHER!"
"jacob he was....he WAS your brother...but he is gone...you can't get him back now, you need to understand that....he wasn't weak...but amybe he didn't want to continue living...getting in the way of you and addie being with who you both belong with...maybe he didn't say anything about saving him because he didn't want saving...maybe just maybe your brother was looking out for you...trying to be a good big brother...giving himself up so he wouldn't have to live in case in the future he lost you...be it to an exorcist or to addie"
"i wouldn't love either of them any less-" jacob was stunned by the thoughts running through his head as he realized what gil was saying and he began to understand
"jaocb...you know that...and i'm sure your brother did too, but you know...you know how much it hurts to live with not being with addie...that might be what he was afraid to feel if he lost you and her....you know your brother isn't as strong as you are....that feeling...he would never to live on with it"

jacob sat a few more moments on the roof, a cool breeze blew his hair gently and he closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath.

jaocb...gil is right...you know you can get past this...so stop blocking me out...i know it hurts...but let me in...

jaocb's eyes shot open suddenly and he looked at gil wondering if he'd heard izzy's voice too, but gil was shocked and leaned out the window a bit to get a better look, squinting as he stared at jacob.

"...." "...." they were both silent. when jacob heard izzy's voice, for a split second he also became jaizaiah but reverted back jsut as quickly and gil wasn't sure he'd seen what he thought he saw.

jacob didn't have time to answer gil's questions because there was a loud crash downstairs in the house. worried it may be an attack gil rushed to see what was going on, with a slightly more coherent jaocb following close behind. they ran around into the kitchen to find merri and arisa had knocked and entire cabinet down trying to reach for some spices. they were trying to cook dinner for the family to cheer everyone up and bit.

gil leaned back against a wall holding his side a bit as he burst into a fit of laughter. unable to control himself he fell to the floor because both of the little girls were covered in flour and merri had a pot on her head as if it were a hat. arisa blushed in embarrassment and then huffed her cheeks and started yelling at her dad. "this is NOT funny papa! stop laughing" she looked like she was about to cry from feeling like a little kid from the embarrassment.

jacob was trying his best to hold back his own laughter at the sight but the fact that he just really needed to laugh made him chuckle as he walked over to the little girls and knelt down in front of them, taking them in his arms and giving them both a hug. "thank you..." he whispered so only arisa would hear. the little girl blushed even more but she hugged jacob back for a moment.

ada addie and nuri had also come running at the sound and all three stood in the doorway looking at jacob and the girls on the other side of the kitchen, and listening to gil's laughter as he sat on the floor with his back to the wall. everything was still dangerous for the family, and they all knew it, but they also all felt a sense of relief that the two they were most worried about before seemed to be coming out of their stupors.

as all the commotion was going on casius was in an office type room upstairs with the earl. The earl was not too keen on the idea of letting a human stay with them though he did see his usefulness. they had much to discuss and the first thing the earl wanted to know was "Casius when the time comes for us to make this world over...are you going to put up a resistance against us for your life?...we will not spare anyone...you must know that..."

"Sir, i am aware...and i don't fear death....i deserve death in fact. I have wronged my brother, and when my time comes i only ask that he be the one to kill me, as my atonement before him, humanity, and whatever god it is that truly exists." casius was sure and because of his answer the earl agreed to keep him about.

"who knows...perhaps i can get a contract to bring you back as an akuma once your dead...." he offered seeing as he had no reason not to do so.

As Casius made his way back to the group, he found them all laughing and gigging, the two little girls in the center of the attraction. He couldn't help but give a small smile as well. Addie gave them all a small smile, and stepped out of the room quietly, finding her way outside, through the back porch.

Gil helped the two girls clean themselves up, and they all decided to work together to help make dinner. As peeling the potatoes was put in the hands of Merri and Arisa, Gil heat the meat up, and Ada fixed up the pie crust for a chicken pot pie. Casius was put to help as well, Jacob invited to help along.

Meanwhile, Charles and Iku had caught up and were nearby, hiding in trees, watching from far away, well, Charles was. In the past 10 years, his eyes had evolved in strength and powers, and he could voluntarily, choose what he could look through and what he couldn't. At the moment, the wall of the home of the Noahs was what his focus was on, and he could see them all inside, all except for Addie who was outside, preparing the meal. "So...any plans on when we call for back up? Attacking all of them at once would be dangerous for us..."

"We'll wait of course." The female with blue hair replied, " They killed alot today, but we lessened them by one, and that's very very helpful to us." As they sat in the nearby tree, they tried to remain unnoticed, even as akuma patrolled around the parameters of the home.

" They should all be taken down separately..am I right?" He asked the younger woman.

"..That's be dead on..." a smile spreading on her lips as she spoke.

bellisari reported to Charles and Iku after her recon mission. "sir, mam. they have two small human girls living with them...i believe they are the children of the exorcists that were kidnapped a few years back. it makes sense, holding them as hostages in case they need them. can we really risk the lives of the young ones?..." she seemed concerned with the thought of being responsible for the death of two small human children.

inside the mansion everything was a bustle trying to prepare for the short notice wedding. the earl had created a portal to transport them to the location of the ceremony in japan whenever they were all ready. he stood in his human form looking in a mirror in the hallway, rearranging his bow tie and making sure his suit looked pressed and clean.

gil walked out to meet him with a smile on his face and wearing a dark tuxedo, looking slick as ever. "sir" he said and couldn't contain the joy and excitement that spread across his face as he realized it was finally about to happen. the earl nodded his head at gil and smiled in kind, enjoying the upraised spirits of everyone in the house, keeping the secret of izzy's body for himself and nuri.

ada and addie were finishing getting ready in ada's room. they had gotten the little ones into their dresses and done thier hair first, so merri and arisa were sitting on the couch pouting because they couldn't play, but excited because they were getting to dress up too which was new to them both since they were never allowed to any of izzy's concerts.

jacob was walking back in forth slowly in his new bedroom. he had dug addie's cross out from the flower pot and the plant itself had grown so much that he needed to repot it. he looked at the cross in his hand as he paced. he'd cleaned it and placed it on a new chain. he slipped it into his pocket. Gil had told him about addie's plan to get inside the order and he figured she'd want the cross to remind her why she was there.

he was in a dark grey tuxedo and bow tie. his hair was slicked back and not messy like it normally was. he tied in a low pony tail and everything just for the occasion. he looked to the empty bed next to his. the bed where his brother would have been sitting, tying his shoes, or fixing his belongings as he waited for jacob, that is if isaiah was still with them.

he felt a pang in his heart and he set a wall around his mind and looked away from the bed. though he wasn't shutting the entire world out now, jacob wasn't ready to deal with the reality of not having his brother with him. 'not yet...don't think about that right now...wait until after tonight...everyone deserves to be happy tonight...' he thought to himself, trying to not make himself a burden for his family.

he stepped out into the hallway and took a steadying breath as he walked into the living room to join the others.

Soon enough, Addie took a peek out of the bedroom, and gave all the people waiting a smile. "Ada's ready! You all have to get going!"

She stepped out of the room, wearing a pink gown, one that matched the little girls' and her hair up. She pulled Gil through the door, "Especially you! You cant see the bride! Go go!"

Making sure all the men were through, she helped Merri and Arisa straighten out their dresses, before telling Ada that she could step out.

All the girls gave 'aww's and squeals and giggles as she did. Her dress was white, and flowing, and only slightly revealing, It suited her perfectly. Her hair was up in a beautiful style, with flowers in it, and a veil decorating the back of her style. Merri and Arisa bouncing up and down, ran to their mother, giving her clingy hugs.

"MOMMY MOMMY! You look so pretty!!" Arisa giggled, hugging her mother around the waist.

Merri agreed, and hugged her from the other side. "YEAH! Mommy! You should be a bride more often!!"

"STUPID! She's only gonna be a bride one time for DADDY!"

"I'M NOT STUPID!"

"YEAH YOU ARE!"

"MOMMY!"

Addie gave a laugh, and pulled the two girls away from Ada, straightening out her mother's dress from any possible wrinkles the girls could have made. "You do look great though Mom..."

Giving her mother a hug, not knowing that originally they didn't get along, but assuming they always had, she gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Well, it's time, get ready you guys!"

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Just as she said, the altar and scene was perfectly set up. It was night time in Japan, and all the stars were shining brightly. The girls gave a little peek through the portal, looking as if they were looking past a curtain, and gave the Earl a thumbs up. He nodded in response, and soon the akuma was playing the proper music, to set the tone for the event. Gil stood looking proud and excited, Nuri and Jacob, standing beside him. He looked to them with a large smile, and gave a giddy bounce on his heels.

"It's time!"

Just as the music began, the wedding began with Merri and Arisa coming down the aisle. Merry with a basket, skipping down the aisle, throwing flower petals on the carpet that marked the aisle. Just next to her was Arisa, who carried the pillow with the rings on it, not skipping, so as not to look so childish as her younger sister, but proudly walking with her chin up, so that the rings wouldn't fall.

Then came Addie, walking simply to the beat of the music, a bouquet in her hands, matching the dress, a quick theme for the wedding. Once she made it to the front, she gave her father a thumbs up and a smile.

And finally came Ada, everyone turning to her to watch her walk down the aisle, to finally marry the man she'd loved for as long as she could remember.

ada stood at the alter next to her love. the music floated through the air. casius played the piano softly in the background. ada stood and gil's hand gently reached out to hers and their fingers intertwined. she blushed slightly and she looked so beautiful in that single moment gil couldn't stop himself from kissing her lightly.

the earl cleared his throat. "gilbert...you are supposed to wait until i tell you you may kiss her..." he said sounding almost teasing. the ceremony proceeded and it came time for the two to exchange their vows. "ada, we'll start with you.." the earl said and offered and encouraging smile.

"...." she looked deep into gil's eyes and took a gentle breathe "gil, since the day we met i have had a place in my heart for you. when you were gone away from me i couldn't bare to remember life before i'd met you, so i threw out all that had made me who i was, who i wanted to be, and when i found you again it was like i had returned from a dangerous imprisonment of the soul.
you are the feathers of my wings, the moon of night sky, you are the missing piece of my puzzle. if you are missing what purpose could i have in this world. the normal vows say 'till death do us part' but i will not say that, because i will not let death part us my love. if you should leave this world before i, you can keep safe the knowledge i am following you shortly.
you are more to me than life, than death, than aging and youth. you are the reason i was able to find happiness in this world full of hate and angst. if a time should come where we can grow old together and we can live our lives in peace, know that you are the only one i would want to do so with.
gil, i love you now, i've loved you in the past, and i will love you always."

Gil couldn't help but smile widely, and squeezed her hands gently. He couldn't take his eyes off her, even as the Earl said that it was his turn to say his vows, he only nodded as acknowledgement.

"...Ada...my love, my heart, my soul. You are the only thing that keeps me running. Before I met you, I was just...swaying around, nothing in life. Nothing to keep me going. But the day...the very second I met you, my heart truly beat for the first time." He gave a small laugh, "And second and third and fourth. In fact, I think I experienced about 3000 first beats when I met you, my heart was beating so fast. But it's because of you, that I feel alive. You are my everything. You've given me love, you've given me spirit, you've given me a family, you've given me a best friend. I promise you, just as the days before this, that I'll stand by you. I'll be your rock to lean on. I'll be your loyal husband. I'll love you forever. I'll care for you always, my darling, my beloved, I'm so....happy to finally be in this moment with you. I feel it's taken too long, but now that we're here....I also feel like it's just right, everything has gone just as it's supposed to, because it lead to me being allowed to be your husband."

Merri, Arisa, and Addie all gave small little squeals in the background as they finished their vows. The Earl gave a small cough, to silence them, and continued with the ceremony. It wasn't too long until the faithful words were spoken, uniting the two lovers after so long, into one.

".Gil, Ada, I now pronounce you Husband and Wife, you may kiss the bride. Now's the right time" He said with a chuckle.

Gil laughed once again, wrapping one arm around Ada's waist, and putting the other hand to her cheek, stroking it gently, before touching his lips to hers in a loving manner. Then just for show, he spun her around, and dipped her low, giving her a deeper kiss than before.

Everyone clapped and cheered, including the Earl, who still in human form, somehow managed to have a large grinning smile much like his other selve's smile.

"Well! Shall we celebrate?"

the ceremony was over, the couple was married, and this was the one night everyone had to celebrate as a family. things seemed to be going well for the time being, btu tonight was also the night addie's infiltration would start. they had used a portal to leave the house so if they were being watched at home they were safe for the time being, however it was decided that tonight they would have addie's staged kidnapping. they were going to change her form before they went home and the earl was going to drop addie and either gil or nuri off a bit away from the mansion. addie would be disguised as an exorcist, and then once she was dragged into the house she was going to be made bruised and appear to have been beaten.

they ate and drank and were merry for a while but as the night drew to a close the time for planning came to action. addie changed into an exorcist uniform they had stolen from someone they killed. ada changed her physical appearance enough so that iku wouldn't even recognize her. the plan was for ada to pose as herself and her daughter in the time to follow addie's infiltration so no observers would notice her absence .

the earl opened a portal and sent everyone else home before addie's make over so they would not recognize her either, before she became their 'victim'. the earl sent ada next. addie stood with the earl, nuri, and gil as they discussed who should be the one to bring her in.

meanwhile bellisari had gone to work surveying the house from a closer viewpoint than iku and charles had taken. she wasn't too keen on their approach, and she never really cared much for her fellow exorcists to begin with. she was off shift now and she walked down the street to a pub and sat at a bar with a drink in hand, drowning herself in the empty night.

jacob casius and the girls had gone home. jacob and cas put the too exhausted little ones to sleep and then sat on the couch akwardly. jacob didn't know what to say to cas and he was still fighting off his depression and loss of his brother. as he thought about him he began to hear the echo of his voice again, and he slowly started accepting it.

'jacob....i'm dead but not gone...you are still the noah of bonds...we are bonded...you can use this to help you but you need to control it'

he couldn't decide if it was true or if he'd gone mad but the voice seemed to be helping him to cope so he continued listening.

As Jacob struggled with his inner demons, the plan that they had been working on for only a few hours, was put into place. The Earl made it home through a door in the ark, as did Nuri, and Gil and Addie were left behind to fulfill what they had planned on.

Gill looked to his daughter, his new daughter, whom he barely recognized at the moment, with a sorrowful look. She gave him a hug. They knew she wasn't going anywhere at the moment, but she knew Gil would feel horrible for having to knock her out. He apologized and did just as planned, a swift punch to the gut, knocking the air out of her lungs, and throwing her into a quick unconsciousness.

As Nuri made it home, he interrupted Cas' and Jacob's "alone time" and and sat in the dining room, which wasn't too far off. An akuma brought him a drink and he gave a cough for attention. Trying to add a bit of life to the dead silence of the room.

"....New Addie's kinda hot." He sighed as he waited for a reaction. Poor ignored Nuri.

It wasn't too long before Gil walked in, dragging his daughter behind him. He'd sensed some innocence nearby, meaning exorcists weren't too far, watching. Addie, who had woken up a bit, to add a bit of realism to the act, started screaming and yelling for help. Grabbing the attention of exorcists, Charles and Iku, who were watching, felling ill at the sight of another of their own being taken in.

Charles had already used his powers up for too long all day, and he wasn't able to find out what they were doing to the girl inside, but he knew it couldn't possibly be any good. He and Iku, in agreement, ran off as fast as they could to gather assistance in the rescue.

Gil, who felt horrible already as it was, threw Addie into the home, and closed the door hard.

Landing with a hard 'thud' she 'oomfed' an layed on the carpeted floor of the home. Gil ran over to her quickly, and grabbed hold of her and clung, giving her apologies over and over again.

It took a moment to get the silly man off her, and she finally looked over to the Earl, who had stopped into the room for a moment, and gave him a weak thumbs up. "Part one accomplished Master Earl."

jacob looked at the new, blond addie with astonishment. she looked beautiful, even in an exorcists uniform. jacob walked over and offered his hand to the girl, helping her up and out of gil's arms. "c'mon....lets get you ready...we need to plan your escape" he offered since when she left the house he had to be the one to chase after her. he led her to her bedroom and they closed the door for privacy.

ada and gil were going out for their honeymoon through a door the earl had ready for them, and nuri was playing babysitter.

Gil and Ada took a peek inside the girls' room, silently of course, so as not to wake them up, and gave each of them a kiss on the forehead as a good night. Once they exited the room, Gill took hold of Ada's hands tightly, and pulled her close, giving his wife a long kiss. Then, saying their last bit of temporary good byes, they stepped through the door for their trip.

Inside the room, Addie gave a sigh, and a stretch, hurting a bit from the punch her father had given her. She wasn't weak, but that man packed a whole lot more wallop than he lead on. Looking over to the man standing in her room to have a seat, while she sat on the floor, being much more used to that.

She wanted to get rid of the exorcist uniform, that was still covered in blood from the exorcist girl they had killed and stolen it from, but that wasn't going to happen with another man in the room. Another sigh escaping her lips, and she looked to Jacob.

"....How are you feeling...?" She could tell that Jacob was still feeling off because of his brother's death. Of course, she was still upset as well, it had only happened earlier that very day, but the growing connection she had with Jacob, the man she knew from her memories, told her that he was the one that needed someone with him.

As she waited for his response, she watched him, and her heart skipped a small beat, she could only guess it was from her old self, the old Addie, who loved him. Then again, she'd gotten almost all her memories back..did that mean that was her again? Whatever it meant, she wanted to make sure he was alright before she had to leave. She might not come back after all...

Pulling him over, deciding the seat he'd chosen wasn't good enough, she sat him on the floor as well. They looked as if they were their younger selves, sitting talking, although, the differences of height, hair color, and lack of a brother, were still there. "...I haven't gotten to talk to you all day...and everyone's been busy with Mom and Dad's wedding...we can make plans later for the infiltration...we can talk first....You feeling alright Jack..?"

jacob looked up at hearing the name 'jack'. he hadn't heard it in so long, he wasn't sure what it meant, if it meant anything at all, but he was happy to hear it. "...kitten." he looked up and into her eyes. she looked different but her eyes were the same, or more understanably, what he saw in her eyes. they were almost the eyes he remembered.

looking into those green eyes jacob didn't realize he had gotten lost to his tohughts. he started telling addie everything about izzy, about jai, about what he was feeling. he started crying but didn't even notice until addie wiped a tear from his cheek. he sat with her for hours, just letting it out and finally coping with it. he listened to her and to isaiah. he started figuring out how they had formed as one and how he held both of the bonds abilities in himself now.

"kitten....i've missed you.....more than you'll ever know" he finally said after a long while of him calming down. he leaned in slowly and kissed her on the lips gently

She gave a sheepish blush, and played with a lock of her hair. It was blond and longer now as well, so she could easily wave it around at his face, which she did. "So you're saying...I wasn't as cute when I was a brunette...?"

She pretended it bothered her with a false pout, but in all honesty, his small compliment made her wonder if she should keep it that color. Rolling him onto his back, and resting her head on his chest, she played with his hair, just as she had with her own. "I like your hair..it looks hot when you you're all sweaty and bothered like you were~" She said, giving a grin and teasing him back.

Addie could remember that she did used to have a problem with what they had done, but now that she was with him, laying together and having shared this special moment with him, she wondered what it had been she was so scared about to begin with. A lingering feeling, deep in her chest, made her look up at him with warm, loving eyes, just as she had thought earlier, this was special, and laying in his arms, she didn't want the rest of the world to continue moving at this moment. It didn't matter if this was just a one time things or not, they would decide later she supposed.

It was silent for a while, before she spoke up again, still twirling a strand of his hair in between her fingers. "....You're going to have to hurt me you know....beat me...bruise me up...so that I can look like I really am a captive. "

jacob didn't say anything about her playing with his hair. he hated when people touched it, but addie wasn't other people so he let her be. when she said about their fight he cringed a bit. he was hoping they wouldn't have to go throguh with this plan, but she was determined to do this so he would assist.

"i know....i don't wnat to do this...but i know....you however, you have to fight back twice as hard...i have to hit you, but you need to beat me and escape before whoever may be watching calls for back up....and you can't take it easy on me...."

She looked down for a moment, "...I know....I'm sorry ahead of time...and I swear, I'll make it back so that you can be angry at me for hitting you." She joked, trying to get a smile out of this moment.

It was late, and she could feel herself running low on energy, her eyes drooping, she was too comfortable where she was. "....We should get some rest....tomorrow's..going to be twice as rough as today.." And honestly, the day that felt like had taken a month, finally ended. She gave his chest a small kiss, and took his opposite hand, intertwining her fingers with his. "....make sure you kick my a** tomorrow"

"kitten...." he paused as she took his hand in her own and he closed his fingers with hers "i love you..." he said and they dozed off together. the rest of the early morning hours passed with them sleeping and recovering both physically and mentally. early the next morning ada and gil returned home. gil saw nuri had been up all night on the couch, but now merri and arisa were passed out on either side of him.

in a whisper "....nuri they were in bed when we left....your not a very good babysitter...you know that right?" he asked teasingly

Nuri gave a snort, waking up,, and scratching his eyes to wake up, "...Fu-...." He paused mid-curse since the girls were still near him. " They woke up in the middle of the night...there was a racket going on..and they had trouble going back to sleep." He didn't want to say specifically what it was that had happened, but that would all be fixed just as Addie tried to tip toe out of her room, wearing Jacob's shirt from the night before.

Everyone of the adults in the room looked to her, and paused, staring, disbelievingly. She didn't really notice them, too tired still, and walked into the kitchen, grabbing some cereal, and muffins and other small breakfast things, and carried them off to her room, not noticing the group watching her, eyes and moths open.

"...See?....a racket." Nuri twitched, as did Gilbert to say the least.

Addie, who stopped just at the door, set the things down nearby, and jumped up onto the bed, onto Jacob to wake him up as well. "Jack....Wakey wakey~" Her voice speaking in a sing song voice, and burying her face into his neck, giving him small kisses.

Once he didn't wake up, she got up and got dressed in the uniform they'd tossed aside a couple of hours ago.

gil stood dumb struck. "n-nuri you let them-......i've got to go kill-...." h couldn't even comprehend what they had just seen and ada simply laughed cutely at her stupid husband's face. "....come on sweet heart....give them some space first..." she offered since he couldn't comprehend just yet. she led him to their own room.

jacob woke a bit later and looked at a fully dressed addie who was doing her hair. he smiled at her, though he didn't think she could see it. 'we need her to have injuries that match the tears in the uniform...plus new injuries form her trying to escape...' he realized and his smile faded a bit.

Nuri called out after him, despite the girls still being there, he felt he needed to defend his honor."You expect me to just walk n and pull them apart???"

Addie could feel someone staring, ans she turned to find Jacob awake and she gave him a smile, "...Good morning! I brought some breakfast for you....so that you could eat before we had to leave..."

She could feel he felt apprehensive about it all, his face said it, but she needed to do this. So she went over to the bed, and sat just in front of him, stroking his hair gently and lovingly. "Don't worry Jack alright..? I'll be fine." Giving him a kiss on the forehead, and a tight hug.

Soon enough he too was dressed, and they walked out of the room together, Gil eyeballing them (and about to jump out at Jacob though he was held back by his wife). The girls had already woken up and ran to Addie, talking about her new hair, and she just giving them a hug, not knowing when she would be back.

Nuri took the girls away, and Ada gave her daughter a good bye, followed by changing her physic once again, so that she looked already cut and bruised to be believable. And then, before giving Jacob a tight hand squeeze, she ran out the door, calling for help from any exorc
