Rose smiled at Broden's thanks for her coming.

"Kyrre is my viceroy," Rose said, pointing in the general direction of where he could be found, at the mention of a seneschal. Rose slightly wished she hadn't pointed because Rhonabwy and Lord Avondale immediately left in that direction--growing taller as they went until they stood a good head and shoulders above even the tallest kitsune. Well...if they won't behave for Kyrre, then they'll behave for those two.

"I think I can help with finding Xangord," Rose said. "I have a friend named Se'Rox who may be able to help."

Noting the name, Broden lifted an eyebrow but did not pursue the matter. "Do you have anyway in getting in touch with her?"

Rose nodded and tried a trick she had learned from Sahm. Pulling her foxfire magic together, Rose created a red foxfire pixie. Sahm usually did birds, but she wasn't Sahm. Because Rose had created it with its purpose at its center, it immediately flew off--and rather quickly. It didn't matter where Se'rox was on Gaia, the foxfire pixie would find her, deliver Rose's message, and dissipate.

Within seconds a purple-black portal appeared just to their left.

< That is a VERY convenient way to travel, > Flan said. < Correct me if I'm wrong, Pixie [2], but your friend appears to be blind. >[3]

Bowing, Broden said, "Greetings Se'Rox. I wonder if you would do us a favor and help rescue one of my three sisters. Her name is Xangord and she appears to be taken captive by a Nobody."

"While you guys discuss that," Shalimar said, "Wynn, Dad, and I are going to go pick up Wolf so we can go get Mom."

"Be careful," Rose called out after them after they had transformed into dragons and flew north.

Entering the Skull Kingdom, pt1

Landing at the site where Nogard and Dragon were last seen, Shalimar said to the others, "Dai, n**, you two get back to Uncle Broden--he's got marching orders for each of you. Wolf, you're coming with Wynn, dad and I."

"Where to?" Wolf asked as Dai picked up a rather grumpy n** to carry her back to Green Shade.

"We're going to go see Uncle Skully," Shalimar replied. "There's a good chance he's got Mom."

"And how are we getting there?" Wynn asked.

Twisting the skull pendant on her neck, Shalimar transformed into her skull princess form.

"Question," Wolf said, taking a few steps away from Creighton and Wynn while grinning. "Just how sharp are those claws?"

"We'll play later, love," Shalimar laughed. Slicing through the air, Shalimar opened a portal that opened into the realm of her godfather. "Stay behind me and follow my lead."

With the others just behind her, Shalimar entered the portal quickly. Pausing just on the other side of the portal, Shalimar waited until everyone was through before sealing it up. Nodding at the others, Shalimar led them across the black sanded desert that surrounded her uncle Skully's castle. When she reached the portcullis, Shalimar gestured for the others to stay put. Transforming into her armored form, Shalimar summoned her Skull Scythe. Circling into the air, Shalimar suddenly increased her speed so she could cut through the chains holding the portcullis in place. Kicking it so it would fall, Shalimar landed and waited for the others to catch up.

"Something's off," Creighton said. "We really should've been challenged at least four times by now. At the very least we should be swarmed by Skull's minions by now with as much noise as you've made so far."

"Yes," Shalimar agreed. "C'mon. More than likely, Uncle Skully's got mom in the throne room."

Still in the lead, Shalimar made her way through the castle to the throne room. Gesturing for the others to wait just around the corner from the door, Shalimar kicked open the doors to the throne room. As she opened her mouth to say...something...Shalimar did a double take at what she was seeing and began to laugh.

As the others stood beside her and began laughing, Skully (with all of his minions chipping away at the block of ice he was frozen in to free him) yelled impotently, "Stop laughing! It's not funny!"
