"He is Consumed"

All the pain he keeps inside,
a lonely edge he waits to fall,
he runs from demons but he can't hide,
his reflection made from the darkness he draws,

a silver shackle binds his arm,
and wrapped up in a cloak of blood,
disgusted by reality's charm,
his tears creating the blackest flood,

dreaming he can take it back,
but nightmares clench onto his soul,
he waits for sorrow to attack,
integrity has lost control,

will his future be the cure,
or cut him short before he wakes,
with light in his hand he tries to endure,
but he's consumed by his mistakes,

wash away the misery,
temptation only looks for more,
if they dont know that this is me,
I have nothing left worth fighting for,

finally existence fades to grey,
to the afterlife he walks away....
