Race: Sakurian and Gaian mix.
[[The Sakurian race are a reclusive race of fairy folk. They are known for their beauty and their strong ties to nature. Sakurians rarely ever leave the island and because of how secluded it is, very few people ever see a Sakurian. It is a matriarchal society in which the females lead the royal family.]]
Companion:
[[Xani's companion is a magibani which she named Kalliope, Kal for short. When Kal reaches maturity she has the ability to shrink or grow at will. In her large form she has the ability of flight, and riding on her back is one of Xani's favorite pastimes.]]
Sakurai:
[[Sakurai is a remote island and the home of the Sakurian people. It is a lush island home to many bizarre and mystical flora and fauna. These rare plants and animals are the objects of affection for poachers, who are constantly trying to seek out Sakurai.]]
Backstory:
[[Xani's mother was a Sakurian princess who fell in love with a Gaian male. He was a sailor who discovered the island while exploring the sea. Despite everyone's warnings she promised herself to him, but he soon ran off leaving her alone and pregnant with Xani. Despite the taboo of her birth, Xani was raised under the protection of the royal family. At a young age she was given her pet magibani Kalliope, who became her close friend and companion. She was a carefree child who was kind and loving, but a little naive. She loved to go exploring in the forest and play with all the little animals.
She continued this lifestyle until she turned 18 and it was time for her coming of age ceremony. A royal coming of age ceremony is a grand event that lasts several days.
On the third day of her ceremony, disaster struck. A group of notorious poachers found the island, and began a great siege against the Sakurian people. The Sakurian race is peaceful, so they had almost no means of fighting back. As the massacre raged on, Xani's mother urged Kal to take Xani to the Gaian mainland and keep her safe. As she was flown away from Sakuria, Xani looked down to see flames and smoke enveloping her beloved home.]]
