The Way Things Are Today...(Intro)
The sounds of the city life always bore me, especially now that they all know who we are, I miss they days back when I could walk up the street at night and people would silently question the markings on my body. That was back when the world was a simpler place, and everyone didn't hate each other, my name is Azrael and I live in the year 2450, I was born in 1994, and I am a Marked Vampyre. A lot has happened since the year I was Marked and changed, that year if anyone was curious the year was 2010 and I had just turned 16 years old. So much has happened in the time I have lived, the passing of many of my friends, the troubles of never seeming to age, and most importantly the eternal war of the races. The races started in the year 2025, the real reason is unknown to everyone, but what I learned of it was some coven of vampires screwed up and got discovered and killed a large group of important humans. Then the lyca got involved in a way that I am unaware of copletely, my companion of 195 years, Taluk, is unaware as well. He is 220 years old and he is closer to me than family. Although he has an odd way of expressing it, he is like a brother to me, and I know he expresses the same amount of compasion for me as what I share for him. Anyways, most of the planet has become modernized, or thats the simple way of putting it, as depicted in ancient SciFi novels the oh so 'majestic' flying car has been invented and they soar inbetween buildings and defy the laws of gravity while still keeping the sleek appeal of any fancy sportscar. All 'city' buildings are mile high sky scrapers and the 'country' buildings are simply 2-3 story houses, and not the little old-style suburbian houses either, they are the size of Hotels from the old ages. Me and a group of friends plan to work our butts off and simply tough out the evils of this new world and hopefully find a way to eventually end this fruitless quarrel between the races, before the world itself ends in peices.
