The stars line up to see
The benevolence’s touch
As she is earthward coming still
Lain beneath the queen

She came to strike a light in me
To crush the wicked thoughts of old
That spoke those bitter, loving lies
She’ll one day steal my soul

And then there shan’t be I
Instead a meld of her and me
To drift through stormy weather clouds
Across the violent seas

Apart we’re good, perhaps the best
Together we’re better yet
You are the better part of me
My only solid bet

So thank you fate or god or wake
Of troubled karmic sea
For she has come to live a life
That lives inside of me

I loved her, yes, in times before
But never as I do
On this her sacred, precious day
For which I’m thanking you

Whatever force you be in space
I pray that you be well
For in her I see heaven’s face
That brings me up from Hell

The castle wrought a rotten soul
She made anew in me
Everything that made me cold
And brought me down from me

So thank you fate or god or wake
Of troubled karmic sea
Except you’ve yet made one mistake
This gift’s too good for me

I don’t deserve her peace
That lives inside of me
But I promise it to always keep
Until I fade away
