Well, it's official. I now live in Oregon.
I knew from the second I looked out the van window that this place was going to be the most BORING. PLACE. ON. THE. PLANET. Mom told me to stop worrying. I wish she'd stop lying.
The only half decent news I have to share is that as soon as we got all our boxes heaved up into our rooms, my parents let me go out and have a walk. They, of course, didn't want to join me and went right on to starting their writing. They're writing some sort of gardening magazine or something for some big company and so they are always on their laptops.
I went out and discovered an old well. I mean, it's like so old you can smell the danky dust. I couldn't tell if there was a bottom, so I dropped a pebble down and listened. After just about giving up, I heart the faintest of tiny splashes from somewhere far below. Yikes! I'd hate to fall down that.
Anyway, so I got to go. I can hear my dad singing in the kitchen, and that only means one thing. Dinner time. Ick, wish me luck!
