humanity's mysteries
This journal is my view on the world, weather it be gaia or the real world. i may be pondering at lifes mysteries, or just laughing at the human idiot. i may comment about art too, i love drawing. please feel free to comment or critisize. Holy cra
Yah, About as Sharp as a Marble, Those Humans...
Hey....er...the two/three people reading this. I'm just going to write about random things that have happened to me recently.
First of all, the little lion thing in the gaia "area" above the toolbar is getting annoying.
I'm also getting into ocarinas. Yes, like the one from the OoT series of legend of zelda (warning, rant about ocarinas is coming up). For all of you who don't know what an ocarina is or just think it's some silly video game toy, keep your eyes open for a few minutes.
An ocarina is the, and I mean THE, oldest instrument known to man. There are many different types. There are the english pendant (I have this one), which usually has a max of 6 holes and can be worn as a necklace. There is the sweet potato (this is the one from OoT and the one I'm getting (not from OoT)) which can have any amount of holes and fingering styles. Then there's the inline (which is a straight version of the sweet potato (not in sexuality, ocarinas have no sexuality)) Which usually has from 9 to 12 holes on it.
How this relates to what I'm saying is that I'm going to get a 12 hole tenor plastic sweet potato. Normally I would steer away from plastic, but this one is made by a company that's known to have no failure.
My mother made me mow the lawn TWO DAYS AFTER I HAD ALREADY DONE SO. This is because we have a dandelion "problem". A few things
a. I don't see why we hate these little wildflowers (that's what they are, technically they are not weeds). What's with this strange obsession we humans have with green lawns, the world was many colors before we popped up with our lawn mowers. Now everything's green.
b. dandelions are one of the most useful plants in the world. you can eat their leaves and their buds before they bloom. Their roots are used in coffee and wine, their stem is used as a pink dye and in latex.
c. In Europe, apparently, they aren't as spread out as they are in the US, they're actually considered a garden flower.
Well, that's it for today, I'm too lazy to type any

1. Great for you; ocarinas are amazing. Two flute players played them during a piece of music my sophomore year in band. It was amazing...!
2. Well, there are people this year in the US very afraid of pollen, since this year, the pollen count increased four-fold, so... And people are obsessed with green lawns since they are in accordance with city ordinances--not too sure in your location; that's the way it is where I live.
3. You make valid points, but make sure you understand why there are things in human nature that occur. smile

I completely agree with you on the dandelion thing. I don't understand why humans detest weeds so much. They are plants, just like flowers and trees are. In my opinion mowing the lawn is a waste of time and energy, in general. What is wrong with having long grass, and plants that you don't have to plant? I see nothing wrong with that. surprised

Ocarinas are amazing by the way! mrgreen

Anyway, great post! wink
