I am so freakin exhausted today.
As I said on Wednesday, Jon brought all of Kelly's stuff here from Illinois, and since it was too late on Wednesday, and everyone was too lazy yesterday, it had to be done today. On Black Friday.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Black Friday, it is the Friday immediately following every Thanksgiving. Also known as the biggest holiday shopping day of the year. You wanted to get a head start on your Christmas shopping? Well, so did about a million other people. I think it would be great if one year, everyone in America said, "Screw it. Everyone else is gonna be out today shopping, it's too much of a hassle to put up with everyone else fighting over toys and clothes." And then that day, nobody would go out, and all the malls and stores would open early for nothing, and the managers would go outside, fall to their knees, and shout, "WHY?!?!?" and then the camera would fade out more and more until you see the Earth, and you can still hear them screaming and.....
Ok. I'm done. I've always wanted to see that though. I wanna scream so loud you could look at the Earth and still hear me. sweatdrop
Anyway, 90% of today was spent bringing in stuff from the U-Haul, finding out where it needs to go, and putting it there, or taking stuff from the inside of the house, and putting it in the garage. Russ decided to stay a while and help, until it was time for him to head off to Sonja's.
We got a lot of the grunt work, i.e. bringing in the heavy stuff and asking where it went while trying to hold onto it. I swear my right arm really does feel like it's gonna just snap and break off.
We had a big deal over how my room was gonna be set up, because I was getting my old dressers thrown out, and was getting my dad's ones, because Kelly was getting hers brought in. My dad thought I should have my bed one way, and I hated his ideas, and said another way was better, which it was, and everyone else but him thought so. So he constantly kept coming in while Russ was helping me move and clean stuff, consistently telling me what he thought about how I was doing things, and I consistently kept ignoring him and telling me to leave. It's not his room, he's not living in here, why should he care?
The final project looks awesome, and I'm proud to say my room is clean. I couldn't have done it without Russell, he's at Sonja's now, probably having his 2nd turkey. I hope he's gets home in one piece, he told me before he left he's probably gonna be in trouble for going straight from my house to hers. He should have called.
