It was an ordinary night. Everybody scattered around the house and looked for something to do before going to bed. Some chatted among themselves, while others stayed by themselves while reading books and magazines. I decided to go outside. I thought that maybe there might be a cool breeze. I opened the door leading outside and an orange hue greeted me. I looked up at the sky at the skies were not its usual shade of dark blue. It was orange in color. The clouds and the stars were also orange in hue. It was quite different and it made me excited for some reason. There was a cool breeze and yet the color of the skies made me feel warm for some reason.
I scanned the skies further... I could see the planets almost aligned. Jupiter and Saturn dominated one corner of the sky. The other planets were there as well. Mars stood out the most because of its red color from the sky. I pointed at shouted "Aliens!" gleefully as I saw spaceships flew by. I just sat outside by the cold cemented ground and gazed up at the sky for what seemed like hours.
I thought that perhaps I could take a picture of the orange skies. So I quickly stood up, ran inside to get a camera. Then I hastily ran back. I couldn't wait to take some pictures. My heart was beating quite fast from all the excitement.
I finally opened the door leading outside. It was dark. I gazed up at the sky and it was its usually dark color. The stars were bright and they illuminated the ground. I could no longer see the planets in the sky. There were no spaceships flying by. I just sat outside on the cemented ground and gazed up at the sky for what seemed like hours. I wanted to see the orange skies again. I wanted to wait a little longer.
