"I failed, so what else are you going to do to me?It doesn't matter anyway.I'm only one person and Sora has friends all over the place.You're asking too much of me!"
"Rixa, that is enough out of you.You'll be staying here until I tell you otherwise.Riku is gone, for I gave him a job.You'll have to amuse yourself some other way.", DiZ said to Rixa, "I don't want to hear that you've been causing trouble again.Understand?"
"Yes, sir..."
Diz walked away from her and headed back to his lab.The room that she was in was the library, an empty, quiet place.She couldn't stand places like that, even if she didn't fully know why.She kicked the table, letting the candlestick fall on the floor.It made a loud sound when it landed on the floor, angering her more.She ran out of the library, nearly knocking Naminé over as she passed by her.Naminé turned around and watched her take the coat off, revealing her normal clothes.
"Rixa..."
Rixa kept running, out of the mansion and into the woods, heading in the direction of the hole in the wall.She stopped when she reached it and looked at the ground. It's too much... She started running again, going through the hole and in the direction of the plaza.Something inside her compelled her to keep running in to the Clock Tower, where so many memories were waiting for her.She didn't even notice the group of kids who watched her run by when she arrived at the Sandlot.
"What's with her?"
"I don't know..."
She was finally there, at the top, where she could see the entire town and stare at the sky to watch the sun set.She sat down at her usual spot and pulled her knees close to her face.She could hear Roxas, Xion and Axel talking like they used to back when they spent time together.When she turned her head, she saw them sitting right there with her, acting like nothing had happened.Axel looked at her and gave her a big smile, ruffling her hair like he would whenever he joked around with her.Suddenly, they disappeared and she was alone again.Tears formed and slowly fell down her cheek.She let herself cry out all her fears and the pain she had been feeling since she became separated from her friends by cruel destiny.She wanted to be with them again, to just be able to smile and laugh like she did when she was with them.
"Why?Why did this have to happen?I miss you guys so much..."
"I know you do, Rixa.Please don't be sad..."
"Naminé!What are you doing here?", Rixa asked, covering her face and wiping her tears away so Naminé wouldn't see, "You're not supposed to be out here."
"Don't tell DiZ, okay?I know I'm supposed to stay in the mansion, but I saw you run out of there and I got worried.You seemed troubled.", she replied with her soft voice.
"I'm just fine.Nothing's wrong with me, I swear.", Rixa lied, "I don't know what you're talking about!"
"Rixa, I saw you crying when I got here.Don't tell me nothing's wrong because I can tell that you're not well.Please tell me what's on your mind.That's what I came here for."
"This place...was where Roxas, Xion, Axel and I used to hang out whenever we finished our missions, back when we were in the Organization.We would talk about our day, the stuff we saw, and eat Sea-Salt ice cream..."
"But now, that's all gone.You're not alone, Rixa.Riku, His Majesty, me, and even DiZ, we're all here for you."
"It's not the same...And I hate having to go after the Keyblade master!It just sucks, having to see him laugh and giggle and have fun with his friends...like there isn't any evil in the world and nothing can go wrong.He has friends all over the place and I have nothing!NOTHING!"
"You have us, Rixa.We may not replace Axel, Roxas or Xion, but we care about you just the same.And Axel isn't gone.He's still here somewhere.You just have to look for him."
"I don't want to see him.He lied to me and I hate liars.I hate them, him and Saix and Xemnas...I HATE THEM ALL!"
"Rixa...Did I ever tell you about Axel?He was sent to Castle Oblivion, where they kept me.He wasn't so bad.He was the one who let me go.Rixa, he isn't like them, and if he was, he's changed.I know it."
"Axel...you stupid lug."
"You miss him dearly, but you'll see him again.", Naminé said, smiling, "And until then, we'll stay with you.I promise."
Rixa looked at her and couldn't help smiling back.Maybe this was what she needed, to talk to someone.Rixa stuck her hand into her left pant pocket and pulled out the headphones Axel had given her as a gift.She showed them to Naminé and even let hear try them on.
"That big lug gave me those a long time ago.He said that the music you hear has something to do with memories, I'm not sure.I never want to lose them.My most valuable possession..."
"And I'm sure you won't."
They stayed there to watch the sun set and returned to the mansion once night had fallen.Before going inside, Rixa looked at the stars and sighed.
"You'll always be on my mind, guys..."
