Chapter: 3

By the time Felicia and Rachel returned home their mother, Selina had already returned from her hunt. She had returned with 3 humans. 1 was already eaten by Selina and the other 2 were in Selina’s coils waiting for her 2 daughters. When Rachel and Felicia slithered in the cave they didn’t say a word. They quickly swallowed their human and slithered off to the part of the massive cave that were their rooms.

“What should we tell mom? I don’t know how she’ll react to us going and finding an abandon metal shack that part of the forest might have been too far.” Felicia said. Rachel was thinking if they should tell her or not. Telling her could resolve into some consequences or of some information.

“Well, it won’t hurt to ask her, the forest is a place of wonders, and we always find things in the forest.” Rachel said. There was a long pause before the started to slither to where their mother was just sitting on her coils.

“Mom, I and Felicia were in the forest and we found a small metal-like cabin. We found something inside, we don’t really know what it was, and it just played some kind of audio-journal. The man who was talking called himself 880. He said he knew you and that he was 1 of the 6 Scientist in the Experimenting team. Do you know someone like that?” Rachel and Felicia just stared at Selina.

“Yes, I do. He was the nicest one out of those 6 Scientists that experimented on me, of cource this was before you two were born so yoll have no memory of this. He was a young nice boy, 13-years-old and had a bright attitude. I know he was one of the 6 scientists but he has to do what must be done. Before I knew he was friendly, I feared him the most because he was a kid who is a Scientist testing on a species that uses his kind as a source of food. One day I believe he turned 14, he came in and gave me a piece of cake.”
“Mom, what’s cake?” Felicia interrupted.

“Cake is a sweet, delicious and moist kind of treat eaten by humans as way to celebrate an event or to satisfy a sweet tooth, now don’t interrupt me again honey. Now, I knew he was brave; he was actually brave enough to unlock my shackles. He said he was sorry about what he has done to me and that he would get me out, and he did. He was a brave person, but I don’t know if he remembers me after these 15 years…..” Selina stayed silent and a tear rolled down her cheek. Felicia and Rachel quickly slithered off back to their room.
