Time to Heal
I'm giving you time to heal
Despite the pain in my own heart,
I've taken a step back from you
But I don't want us to be apart.
I'm proud you're taking time to heal
And aren't afraid to cry,
Sometimes streaming tears are the only way
To once more take wing to the sky.
Please take your time to heal
I'll wait until time ends,
Just know that we aren't only lovers
But are also the closest of friends.
