I felt my heart-beat in my stomach,
You asked me who I loved that night
"Do i know the person's name?"
Of course you knew your own name!
...I could not say, for fear of losing you
So my mind embraced those words,
And the cricket tuned my contemplation
"Poison me..." you gave me right!
but the serpent would much rather avoid you now.

I felt my heart break in my chest,
You told me that she held your heart
"So where does your heart lie my friend?"
The silent tears crept pass my composure
Mixing with the crimson liquid of my arm,
My world was screaming in agony,
For the numbness could not stop this pain
And the birds for the worm chirped contrary
As i closed my eyes to sleep too late

I felt my heart stop throughout my body
...or wherever you left it.
