Bio: A group of highly evolved beings, the Ascended are immortals who were once human, but were able to Ascend to immortality through the evolution of the soul. Their goal is to Enlighten all into an understanding with themselves and one another, and to prevent the world from falling to Chaos.
Name: Nada Kyo (Means 'Great Open Sea')

Powers: A lot. Most commonly used ones are teleportation, shapeshifting, healing, light spells, and purification.

Bio: Dispatched by Reverance to the harsh realm of Hell, in hopes of easing the suffering of its inhabitants, Nada is sent to redeem the fallen son of a notorious hell god, Jigoku Kurayami. Nada finds himself both drawn to and fearful of Jigoku, and the existence he is now bound to.
Appearance: Tall and rather effeminate looking, with short whitish blond hair pulled up in a ponytail, and blue eyes. Nada has a very gentle expression, very peaceful. Both ears are double pierced with gold earrings.

Powers: A lot. Most commonly used ones are levitation, emotion sensing, teleportation, stealth
Personality: smart, loyal, hard-working
Weaknesses: naivety, emotional (well for an Ascended being she is)
Likes: meditation, flowers, sunshine
Dislikes: liars, bigots, sexism
Bio: Mutual friend of Nada and Janus, as well as one of Reverance's most trusted, Belfy specializes in dealing with the mortal realm, and is a past master in the art of diplomacy, and compromise. As a result, she is often a frustrated go-between to all parties.
Appearance: Small and curvaceous, Belfy looks very female, with a sweet heart-shaped face. Two locks of blond hair frame the sides of it, the rest of her hair is done up into two bao. She has a rather regal look about her.

Race: Ascended
Powers: Nearly every power imaginable. Fond of tracking, telepathy, aura-reading
Personality: calculating, reserved, pleasant,
Weaknesses: One-track minded, oblivious to his Ascendants' suffering
Likes: Long walks, good books, making a difference
Dislikes: irresponsibility, the threat of Chaos engulfing the earth, apathetic beings
Bio: The undisputed leader of the Ascended, Reverance was one of the first mortals to evolve into a higher existence, by becoming a bodhisattva. He has devoted his life to improving the welfare of humans and supernatural beings alike, and taken on a vow to be continuously be reincarnated to deliver truth to others.
Appearance: Tall, with an intimidating look about him. He exudes leadership. If he smiles at all, it is pleasant, but calculated. He has long, super straight hair that goes all the way down to his waist, and intense violet eyes. Reverance appears ageless, he could be anywhere from 30-60

Name: Jigoku Kurayami (Means "Hell Darkness", if reversed it means "The Dark Hell" wink

Likes: sweet food, treats, teasing Nada, tormenting others verbally, and fighting.
Dislikes: cute, fluffy, sour, bitter, talkative people, people who don't leave him alone, fangirls
Bio: A lonely troubled hell god with a dark history, he winds up living with a very unexpected guest in his domain. While extremely possessive and occasionally cruel towards Nada, he's also attracted to him.

Race: Descended Human
Powers: communicating with spirits
Personality: bitter, angry, compassionate
Weaknesses: holds grudges, antisocial

Bio: Once a former Ascendant whom specialized in dealing with the spirit realm, Janus has become very embittered after having his immortality and powers stripped away. Left with only his natural ability to communicate with spirits, he still tries his hardest to help them move on, contributing in the fight against Chaos in his own small way.
Appearance: Medium height, with short sandy brown hair that tends to hang in his face. He never smiles, and always looks very serious. He tends to lean on things or slouch with his arms crossed when he's standing, and in general looks very worn down, his clothing often has rips or tears on it.

Name: Yue
Race: Human (immortal when wearing a pendant Jigoku gave him)
Age: 16
Powers: None
Personality: upbeat, talkative, silly
Weaknesses: timid, naive
Likes: Jigoku, helping others, telling stories
Dislikes: Most of the hell realm, for hurting Jigoku, harassment, mean people
Bio: An orphan Jigoku took in a while back and made his servant, he is Jigoku's right hand man, and the only one he trusts other than Nada. Yue is privy of the relationship between the two, and thusly is a target for those seeking knowledge.

Chaos
The driving force that keeps the world moving, namely for the worse. It spawns greed in normally generous people, drives normally careful drivers to run a red light, and is responsible for mass panic. It lives through the mentally unhinged, the serial killers, the rapists. It's capable of latching itself onto one lone incident in one's brain, often causing dangerous transformations in otherwise good people.
