Here's what's new with me |

After working at Convergys for three full months, I couldn't stand it anymore. The members from AT&T U-Verse were bringing me down and I missed jewelry too much.
As of August 1st, I got hired on full time at Kay Jewelers in the Fox River Mall in Appleton. 40 hours per week, $9.55 per hour!
I did make a friend at Convergys however. I can't remember how we got talking, but I think we got started over something that had to do with waiting for Tier 2 to answer and it was late at night. Anyway, we got talking and he mentioned how we should go out drinking with a bunch of Convergys people. I declined, saying that I was busy and I don't drink much. By the way, his name is Aaron.
On my last Monday at Convergys, I told him that my last day was Friday. He didn't seem too happy, but said that he was happy that I'd found a better place to work.
That week, we went out for lunch a couple times. On Tuesday we went to Taco Bell and on my last day, Friday, we went to Burger King. We made plans on Friday for him to come down on Saturday and we'd go see a movie. He really wanted to see Eclipse and I said that it was great and he should see it. I was ubber excited when I found out that he had seen the previous two movies in theaters multiple times and owned the movies (and books I think).
We met up at my apartment where he got to meet my kitties. The movie was at 3:30 and he seemed to really enjoy it.
After the movie, we decided to go over to the Outlet Mall and do a little window shopping. It was during that time that we decided to go up to Appleton and have a few drinks. We went back to my apartment and I wanted to wait for Robert to come home so I could explain where we were going (he had to work in the morning and I knew he'd want to go to bed early). Robert got kinda jealous and wanted to come along. I said that was fine since Aaron and I are just friends anyway.
We didn't talk much over the next week or so. I was busy with my new job and Aaron was busy at Convergys working the extra over time that they always wanted us to work.
On Saturday, we made some plans to see a free concert at the Outlet Mall on Sunday. Needless to say, we had a blast. We sat on top of his car, which he helped me up and down each time. He also lent me his combat pants to sit on when his rooftop got kinda hot (I was wearing a sundress). He seems to like me, and I like him.
We played Guitar Hero for a while (I kicked a**) at the apartment. He left not long after Robert got home, saying that he had somewhere else to be.
At 4am, I received a text from him saying, "Just wondering this may be a selfish question but would you notice if I disappeared?" I had checked my phone at 6am when my cat woke me and didn't reply until about 9am. I said, "Of course I would. Aaron, what's going on?"
He didn't reply. I got worried and sent the same message again. Still no reply. Finally, I said, "Damn it Aaron, not only would I notice, I'd be devastated! What in hell is going on?"
Aaron: Nothing just wondering
Me: ********! Don't do that! That nearly gave me a heart attack!
Aaron: But I am kinda depressed and pissed
Me: You still shouldn't send a text like that. What made you think about disappearing at 4am?
Aaron: The girl that I like and she knows it was going home with another guy in front of me.
That last text he sent, I almost couldn't answer. I thought, with him being nice to me and then saying that to me, I thought he was referring to me. Then I thought, it might not be me. So I replied:
Me: I'm sorry to hear that. My lunch will be at about 4:30 to 5:00 today. Do you want to talk about it then? You can meet me at Kays.
He never replied and I thought for sure he wouldn't show up.
Then at about 4pm, he walked over to me from the middle of the mall and asked when my lunch would be. I told him about 4:30 and he said he'd walk around the mall for a while and meet back up with me.
He met up with me at about 4:30 and we went to lunch. I noticed that he was smiling and I stated, "You don't look mad." He replied, "I'm hiding it from you."
Once we got lunch, he told me that he liked this girl named Nicki and that she knows that he likes her and yet she goes and sleeps with other guys right in front of him. I felt relief knowing that it wasn't me he was angry at. He also told me that he had sent that text to a few different people, not just me. He had also not gotten any sleep because of this Nicki girl and had shut his phone off. When he'd turned his phone back on, he'd gotten about 15 text messages from these people that he'd sent that one message to.
Here's why I think he might like me though. At work, we got on the topic of gouging my eyes out (how, I can't remember). When I said I liked my eyes too much, he'd said "......." and I replied with a question mark. He said he'd text me later. I found a text saying he liked my eyes too.
On my last day at Convergys, he wanted to play a prank on the entire building by making them think that we were a couple. I was his "work wifey" and somone that Aaron knew thought that we were really dating, which is where he got the idea for this. She had thought we'd made a cute couple. So I played along with it.
There's also the fact that he's very courteous. He opens doors for me, has offered to drive me from Oshkosh to Appleton and back because I didn't want to risk driving home tipsy, and Robert claims that he was checking me out the entire time we were playing pool at Anduzzi's two Saturday's ago.
Now the courteous thing could be from being in the Army. And I'm sure he'd do the same thing for anyone.
He's sweet and cute, but I've been with Robert for 4 years and I love him. I don't want have this crush on Aaron. And I don't want Aaron to have his heart broken if he does like me. I hope that his Nicki person is really the one he likes and not me.
So, here's to hoping that my heart can sort it all out...
